I rub the back of my neck in embarrassment, and Alisha's smirks. She loves to tease me. But then Nick opens his mouth.
"I was about to pick Emma up and lay her down on the kitchen counter and undress her. I planned to put whipped cream on her body and lick it off," he says with a deadly serious expression. "But since you two barges in, it's canceled."
The sound of three women gasping for air makes him laugh.
"Any of you girls want coffee or tea?" he asks as he walks to the coffeepot.
Still in shock at his bold words, we all follow him with our eyes. Alisha is the first to laugh hard.
"God, Nick," she says, while placing her hands on her hips. "Do you have cute friends? Because if they are anything like you, Bella and I are interested and willing to meet them."
"Jeez, Alisha," Bella says. "Speak for yourself. I'm not as desperate as you."
Nick turns back and gives Alisha an investigative look. He turns, grabs a cup, and offers it to her.
"I have two close friends, and they're both single," he answers with a smile.
"Oh, really. Are they good looking?"
"Alisha," I say, shaking my head. God, she can be so direct.
"What?" She shrugs. "A girl can ask, can't she? You've found yourself a handsome man to date, and I want mine as well. Especially if it’s a fine-looking specimen like this one," she exclaims, pointing to Nick.
Nick walks over to me, wraps his arms around me, and pulls my back into his chest.
"To inform you. I'm off the market. Emma and I are officiallyand exclusively dating." He places a kiss on the top of my head.
Again, both women gaze at us with open mouths, and I can't help but smile. God, it's such a turn on hearing him say this out loud to my friends.
Bella's face beams with happiness as she sees Nick and me. "You two are perfect together. But Nick," she says, focusing her attention on him. "I want to make one thing clear. If you hurt Emma or Charlotte, I will find you, cut off your balls, and hang them up at my next exhibition for everyone to see."
Everybody is quiet for a moment as we stare at Bella.
"Noted," Nick says after swallowing.
As she walks over to the coffeepot and pours herself a cup, Nick whispers in my ear. "Damn, she's the scary one."
I giggle. "That's Bella's fiery red-haired personality speaking. One piece of advice—never get her angry."
He nods. Alisha and Bella are now both enjoying their coffee.
"Are you girls up for something fun?"
We all look up at him. Nick peeks at both women, and I see a crooked grin appear on his lips. "What are you thinking of?" I ask.
"What do you think of an afternoon chilling and having something to eat and drink? My treat."
"Sounds good to me," Bella says.
"I could invite Amanda and my two best friends to join us so we can hang out together and get to know each other?" He glances at Alisha with a cheeky grin.
"You want us to meet your friends?" I say.
"Yes, of course, Angel. I think it would be fun. Charlotte is out swimming, so now is a perfect time."
Both Alisha and Bella nod their heads.
"We're in," the blonde says. "I'd like to meet your hot friends."
