Two ideas were colliding in Toby’s head. Bringing off one of them would be great.

Both would be awesome.

Sol studied the photos on Toby’s phone. “It looks like an amazing place.”

“It is. And in just over six weeks’ time, we open our doors.”

“Is Sean going to help spread the word?”

Lord, Toby hoped so.

“Yes, but that’s where you come in. Would you build us a site? Like the one you did for Sean?”

He frowned. “Sure, I could do that, but…”

“But what?”

Sol handed Toby’s phone back to him. “Those are good photos, don’t get me wrong, but they aren’t good enough to use on a site.”

Toby couldn’t have wished for a better opening. “So come stay at Salvation. Take your own pictures. Get a feel for the place.”

“But… you said you’re not open yet.”

“No, I said theBDSMpart isn’t open yet. Come as a guest at the dude ranch. One week. You can spare a week, can’t you? If there’s work involved.”

Toby knew he was begging, but he didn’t care. What shocked him was his motivation. Sure, he wanted Sol to put together a stunning website, but he also wanted Sol to unwind a little. He might have left tragedy behind him in Wyoming, but he’d also left any semblance of a life there too.

Sol tilted his head. “A dude ranch. Me?”

“Why not? Hell, the way you look, you’d fit right in.” Toby locked gazes with him. “My instincts tell me you need this.”

“Your instincts, huh? Are those the same instincts that made you come up with those rules of yours?”

Toby had left those in San Francisco. He was making up a whole new set of rules—for him and Robert.

“Letting Tyler go was the best thing I could have done for him.” The sub had found happiness, fulfillment—and love—with Will, which was what he’d wanted all along, and Toby couldn’t have been happier for him.

Sol huffed. “You may be right there. That boy isglowing. Love’ll do that to you.” His Adam’s apple bobbed sharply.

“At least think about it. I can’t remember exactly how many guests we have booked in between now and opening day, but there’s always room for one more. Wide open spaces, fresh country air, good food—”

“You forgot big skies in your sales pitch,” Sol quipped. Before Toby could utter another word, Sol got his own phone out. “When would you want the site up and running?”

“Preferably by the end of the month. The first week in September at a pinch.”

Sol’s eyes widened. “Wow. You don’t want much, do you?”

Toby laughed. “I have complete faith in your ability to work miracles.”

“Now hang on a second. I need to look at my schedule. What if Ican’tsqueeze you in? We’re talking an awful tight deadline.”

Damn it. Toby’d known it wouldn’t be easy. He’d expected way too much of Sol.

“But Iwilldo what you suggest.” When Toby caught his breath, Sol held his hand up. “I’ll think about it, all right? But only if I have the time.”

Toby knew when to stop pushing rope.

“Okay, fair enough.”
