“I can make the dough, but I’m terrible at decorating,” Mason volunteered.

I raised an eyebrow. “Bro, really? Do you remember your attempt at dinner the other night? We’re not letting you anywhere near the oven.”

Mason snorted. “Fair enough. I’m better at giving orders, anyway. I can manage the process.”

Zoey grinned. “We can all pitch in. I’ll keep a close eye on Mason.”

“I’m not going to complain about that.” Mason leaned over and gave Zoey a peck on her lips.

I laughed. “Bodhi, you’re on decoration duty. You’re the artist, after all.”

Bodhi saluted in affirmation. “Aye, aye, captain!”

Zoey took a moment to make eye contact with all three of us. “I think we’re starting a new Christmas tradition here.”

The thought that she imagined us doing this year after year told me that she believed we had a future together. And nothing could make me happier, but still, we all knew it had to end at some point. Who had ever heard of three guys sharing one woman?

Bodhi leaned in to kiss her forehead. “Anything with you is a tradition worth keeping.”

Mason chimed in. “Oh, I forgot to tell you, Nate and Trevor are sticking around for one more night, but the rest of their group is heading back to Florida this morning.”

Bodhi quirked an eyebrow. “You thinking of joining them?”

Before Mason could reply, Zoey spoke, her tone contemplative. “Why don’t they come here instead? I can make pasta for dinner.”

“You sure about that?” Mason asked, his tone guarded.

Zoey nodded, a determined glint in her eye. “Yes, I’d like to get to know your friends better. They’re important to you, so that part of your life is important to me.”

“As long as you are comfortable with them being here,” I said. “We have to be careful around them. They know Eric, and we don’t want your brother to find out what’s going on before we have a chance to tell him ourselves.”

“Hmm, keeping my hands off you three will be hard, but I think I can manage for one night,” Zoey responded. “But you’ll have to make it up to me later.”

“Nope, no way. No need to keep your hands off of us. I guarantee they have no plans of spending the night,” Mason said. “So, take back what you said. You will absolutely not keep your hands off us for the entire night.”

Zoey burst out laughing at his joke. “Okay, I take it back.”

“Good,” Mason retorted.

“Do you promise you are okay with them coming over?” I asked.

“Nate and Trevor were great!” Zoey said. “Everything that made me upset that night was a misunderstanding. Besides, theincidentwith Vivienne forced Mason and me to have an important conversation. I’ve already put that night behind me, and I want you all to do the same.”

The room filled with nods of agreement.

CHAPTER14

Zoey

The scent of freshly baked cookies filled the entire cabin. The Christmas tree was lit and decorated in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room, so the house radiated holiday warmth.

The pasta sauce was almost done, so the last thing I needed to do was heat up the garlic bread. But I would wait until our guests arrived to do that, just in case they ran late.

My guys and I had all worked together to create a feast. Liam made the pasta; he was always so helpful in the kitchen. Mason made a simple salad, and Bodhi, showing his expertise in making drinks, created a unique holiday concoction.

The cookies were the final touch that made our evening truly special. Each one was meticulously decorated with a different Christmas theme.

As I carefully placed each cookie on display, I couldn’t help but marvel at how close we’d all become in such a short time. There was something unique about the bond forming among us, and every shared experience seemed to deepen it. The fact that it was the Christmas season made our time together even more magical.
