She lifted it, waggling her fingers with a huge grin plastered to her gorgeous face as I pulled the ring box from my pocket and opened it.

I wanted to explain. “It’s a canary diamond—”

“Oh, Liam, it’s beautiful! And with all those tiny diamonds around it, it looks just like the sun.”

“Exactly. Will you marry me, sunshine?”

“Yes.” She slid out of the chair and into my arms, kissing me all over as tears ran down her face and she held me tight. “I don’t know how to be this happy, but I can’t wait to figure it out with you.”

Summer

Holly

It was my wedding day.

My sisters surrounded me as I took one last look at myself in the mirror before I headed out to marry Liam. “You are stunning, darling,” my mother whispered from the doorway, Gram at her side.

“You’re beautiful, Hollyberry.” Gram brushed a tear from her cheek and echoed the sentiment.

I was wearing yard after yard of white lace and chiffon, and with the corseted bodice and poofy off-the-shoulder sleeves, I looked like a sexy boho cloud. My sisters were dressed in pale hues of yellow silk and carrying bouquets of white roses tied with yellow ribbon. They looked like sunbeams.

Baby’s breath and yellow flowers of every type decorated the entire property. I’d been determined to have my wedding feel bright and full of sun even if the sky above was dark and hazy with rain. Because in Sweetbriar, Oregon, you could never predict how the weather would be, even in the summertime.

After she had the twins, Lily decided her next project would be my wedding. She had insisted on sparing no expense when it came to marrying off her “little brother” and as such, she had gone so far overboard that everywhere I turned, I gasped at the beauty that met my eye.

She had heard Liam call me sunshine at the Sunday dinner after he proposed, took one look at my ring, and freaked out. “Let me plan your wedding!” she had shrieked.

And I said okay, with zero clue of what I would be getting myself into. After my permission had been granted, she and Rose had exchanged a look then left mid-dinner to run down to my mom’s office to create a shared Pinterest board for their ideas.

I had envisioned something small, maybe a trip to Las Vegas. Or a dinner with family at my parent’s house, or perhaps in my garden at home.

But no.

This was an extravaganza.

And I had to admit...I freaking loved it.

My entire family was here, waiting in the same barn where Rose and Trevor had gotten married back on New Year’s Eve. But instead of midnight, it was midday, and instead of a small affair contained to the barn, my wedding had spilled everywhere.

“It’s time,” my father informed us.

Lily, Rose, and Violet followed Mom and Gram out while my father waited for me in the doorway. “Are you ready, honey?”

“Yes. I’ve never been as ready for anything as I am for this. I can’t wait.”

“I’m happy for you. Liam fits into this family like he was born into it.” Humor crossed his face. “But I guess it’s lucky for you that he wasn’t.”

I shook my head and took his arm. “Right? Let’s go.”

As we walked the gravel pathway to the barn, I held my dad’s arm and marveled at how far I had come since I’d returned home. At how far this entire family had come. My sisters were all married and happy. Cade and Charlotte were back together; now it was time for Jude, Levi and Ash to find their own piece of happiness. I had no doubt they would now that they had four sisters drunk on happily-ever-after and waiting to meddle in their lives.

“I am so happy, Dad. I could fly down to the barn.”

He squeezed me to him in a hug. “I’m so proud of you, Holly. You’ve lived a huge life and you’re barely thirty. And now you’re going to share it with one of the best men I’ve ever met. Liam will make you even happier, of that I have no doubt.”

I brushed a tear from my cheek as we approached the barn. The doors were thrown wide and trimmed in flowers and fluffy tulle ribbon wound with shimmery lights. The aisle was liberally strewn with yellow and white rose petals. I stopped at the head next to my sisters as the music began and watched them go one by one.
