Finally, when she thought she would die from anticipation, she pulled him over her. He understood what she wanted. He paused long enough to open the drawer in the small table by his bed, took out a condom, placed it on his hardness, and entered her waiting, warm, and wet body.

Elizabeth was lying on his chest catching her breath when they were both finished. It was pure bliss. What they just did, lying here, naked in Jacob’s bed. She kissed his chest; he rubbed her head. Placing her head on his shoulders, he lifted her mouth toward his.

They lost themselves in a deep, deep kiss. Jacob rolled on top of Elizabeth, smothering her again in him. His kisses trailed slowly down her body driving her wild with ecstasy. Soon she found herself filled with him again. Their bodies rocked together in a rhythm which took them both to the crest together.

Exhausted, exhilarated, and happy, Elizabeth found herself dozing off in Jacob’s arms.

She awoke to the sun peeking through the curtain. Even though her eyes were closed, she felt Jacob’s arms around her and snuggled back to his embrace. He tightened his hold on her and kissed the side of her head. “MMMM. Good morning”

Elizabeth answered by rolling over and placing a delicate kiss on his lips. “Good morning back.” She rested her head on the pillow and opened her eyes to see him watching her. He smiled. She smiled back.

“You are beautiful even in the morning.” He ran his hands through her hair pulling her face back toward him. They started again getting into a deep passionate kiss, but Elizabeth pulled away.

“As much as I would love nothing more than to spend the day here, under the covers, naked with you, I really need to go home, take a shower and let my parents know I am still alive.”

“I guess you’re right. But give me another minute.” He started kissing her all over and feeling her body. She found herself once more lost in Jacob.

Finally, they were finished again. He kissed her long, and deep, as she giggled and pushed him away.

Looking in her eyes, he smiled at her. “Can I see you later?”

“I would love that.” Elizabeth finished her answer with another kiss on his lips. She rolled out of bed and put on her clothes quickly before she was enticed to stay again. She opened his bedroom door and turned back to look at him. She smiled at what she saw. He was lying without blankets in pure, beautiful nakedness.

Looking him up and down, she responded with difficulty. “I really wish I didn’t have to go, but I’ll see ya later.” She smiled, waved, looked directly into his eyes, and blew a kiss in his direction as she exited and closed the door behind her.

Elizabeth quietly crept into her house, up the stairs, and into the shower. She had to get ready for work and was running a little behind. Soon she was bouncing down the steps and into the kitchen to grab a bagel. She said a quick good morning to her mother and headed out the door. There was a surprise waiting by her car and she broke into a big smile when she saw it.

Jacob, in a pair of shorts and sandals leaned against her door.

“Good morning, beautiful.” he said, wrapping his arms around her, as she melted into his embrace.

“Didn’t I just leave you?” she asked, wrapping her arms around his neck.

“What, do you not want to see me, or get a kiss before work? If not, I can go.” Jacob joked around pretending to leave but didn’t get far. She did not let go of him and tugged him back.

“Don’t you dare go anywhere.” She put her mouth on him in a soft, slow kiss. “Mmm. That was nice, and a great way to leave for work.”

“I’m glad I could help you start your day in a positive way.” He smiled and kissed her again lightly. “I’ll see you later. Maybe I will make us a nice dinner.”

“I’m looking forward to it.” He opened the door for her, she got in, started the car, and pulled out of the driveway.

Soon Elizabeth pulled into the parking lot at the boutique. She parked in what she had come to see as her spot, turned off the car and stared at the scene before her. They had placed some benches under a tree, with a bird bath, and a garden table to give guests a place to sit and relax. Elizabeth was awed at the sight in front of her. There, like at home, she watched two cardinals land in the bird bath. A bright red male, and a female sporting light brown, red-tipped feathers, and a red beak.

A saying her grandmother used to tell her came to her mind.

Red bird, red bird, fly to the right… I hope to see my honey tonight.

All the time Elizabeth saw the cardinals at her house, she was reminded of the fact that they mate for life, and here was the first time she thought of this saying. Thinking this helped her to feel happier than she has in a while.

She will be seeing her honey tonight. The thought made her smile. She got out of the car and, with a bounce in her step, approached the boutique, plucked some dead flowers from the flowers in the pot by the front door, and entered the store.

“Good morning, Mrs. Stanzel. Good morning, Jessica.” Elizabeth went over to her friend and gave her a big hug, clocked in for the day, and got to work arranging and rearranging displays, and dusting shelves.

“Well, someone is in a good mood this morning.” Jessica approached her with an amused look.

“I don’t know what you mean.” Elizabeth didn’t make eye contact when she said this, but broke out in a big, goofy grin.

“I am going to guess that someone had a good night last night and that is what’s causing this bounce in your step and bubbliness to your personality.” Jessica grabbed the dusting spray and cloth from Elizabeth so she would have to stop working and look at her.
