I let my hips sway with the beat before the people around us thought I was weird for not dancing. It didn’t take long for the familiar tingles to start at the base of my spine, goosebumps flooding my skin. Letting my head fall back and allowing the music to take over, I forget everything else. I didn’t know how long we stayed on the dance floor, but my skin was covered in a layer of sweat, my hair slicking to my neck, making me wish I’d chosen something more suitable to wear.

At some point, I must have turned away from Archer, because when I looked around, he was behind me. He smiled when our eyes met. As I let mine flutter closed, I felt his hand gently press to my hip, and I brushed my fingers over it, telling him I wanted his touch.

We stayed like that for a while, but he didn’t move closer or try to press our bodies together. He just danced behind me, his hand routed to my hip. My skin itched with anticipation, hoping I’d get to feel him against me.

I let out a yelp when warm lips ghosted my ear, making my breath hitch.

“You look hot,” he whispered. I twisted my head to stare up at him, rolling my bottom lip between my teeth, but before I could say anything back, he spoke again, “I mean, you dolookhot, but I meant, do you want to get a drink.”

“I’m good. I like it here,” I yelled, twitching my hip against his hand.

“Just like this?” he questioned.

I turned, tired of waiting for him to make the first move. Pressing my body flush against his, I leaned in so our foreheads touched.

Archer’s eyes widened.

“This is better. Is it okay with you?” I asked as I lifted his free hand and wrapped it around my other hip.

He nodded, and my pussy throbbed with need.God, this man is delicious.

As we danced, the crowd seemed to grow, eliminating any space between us. Eyes locked, his fingers gripping my hips, my arms moved to wrap around his neck as our bodies moved as one. The swell of his erection was unmissable, the thick shaft pressing hard against me, making me lick my lips with wonder about just how big he was.

Archer looked down at where our hips connected and tried to step back, his dark eyes appearing even darker.

Sensing his embarrassment, I anchored my hand into the short hair at the back of his neck, holding him in place, pushing myself harder against his erection. Rocking my hips as we danced, I watched his face soften and his lips part in a silent groan. But just as quickly, his eyes widened, and he shook his head, pulling away from me. Heading to the bar, Pete and I followed close behind him.

“Two tequilas,” he yelled at the barman, downing one and then the other before turning to look at me.

“Sorry,” he mumbled.

Needing to touch him again, I raked my fingers through his thick hair, pushing it back from his face, watching his eyes flutter closed and then open again.

“I…” His voice fell away as if he wasn’t sure what he should be apologizing for.

I leaned in so he could hear me, entwining his hand in mine. “I liked feeling you against me. You’re a beautiful man, Archer. I would love nothing more than to feel your hands on me.”

His throat bobbed as he swallowed.

“Look, I should go. Do you need a lift home?” he replied, dropping my hand.

“Did I do something?” I asked, frowning.

His eyes widened, panic flooding his face. “No. No. You did nothing. It’s me… I just need to get out of here.”

I took his hand again, stroking my thumb over his knuckles, feeling like he needed a gentle touch to calm whatever was going on in his head right now. “Okay, let's go back to my place. It’s not far. That good with you?”

He nodded, letting me lead him from the club and into his waiting car.

Chapter 5

Archer

Sheopenedthefrontdoor, throwing her keys onto the side table. “Come on in. Make yourself at home,” she instructed as she kicked off her shoes, letting out a satisfied sigh when her bare feet hit the hardwood floor.

My mouth fell open. Her open plan penthouse apartment was huge. Exposed brick walls and industrial fittings. Enormous, well loved, tan colored, leather sofas, beautiful furniture I could guess wasn’t from IKEA, a fireplace that separated the lounge from the kitchen and what looked like a bedroom in the far corner. The only thing hidden by walls was the bathroom.

“I like the idea of living in a single space.” Waving her arm around as she moved through.
