“I wanted to buy you a ring, but I wondered about how practical that would be with your work… are you going to lose it when you sculpt or take it off while you paint and forget where you put it? We can go ring shopping, of course we can, but I thought this might work better for now.”

Holding out her wrist, she stared at the two thin sections that curled together into a knot, which had a line of diamonds running through it. “Archer, it’s perfect.” She brought it closer, glancing between the bracelet and the blue box. “Oh. My. God. Is this Tiffany? Did you buy me a Tiffany bracelet? I-I… it’s… I don’t have any words.”

My heart hammered in my chest, waiting for her answer, but instead, she sighed, pressing her face to where my shoulder curved into my neck.

We stood there for a few minutes, alone, on a platform a hundred floors from the ground, surrounded by the stars, and I started to think that this was a really bad idea.

“Yes.”

I heard the word, but I was so on edge that I decided it was the breeze.

“Yes.” Again, it was so quiet that I couldn’t believe it was real.

A light kiss pressed to my neck. And there was that word again.

Her kisses grew bolder, licking and sucking, making me groan.

“Yes.”

She leaped up, wrapping herself around me in that excitable way she did that I loved so much.

“Yes.”

“Yes?”

“I will marry you, Arch. Spend a lifetime with you. Love you forever. I will be your octopus while we spend infinity making more forget me not memories, and I will try my best to be everything and anything you ever need.”

Burying my fingers in her hair, I pulled her mouth to mine. “Thank fuck for that. You had me worried there for a while.”

“And the bracelet is perfect. I’d lose a ring within a week. But Tiffany… how did you know?”

“Know?” I asked, confused.

“That it was my secret wish. Lea made me tell the universe what I wanted in my dream man and make a wish. I wished for someone to show me they were really it for me by bringing me a Tiffany box. I didn’t ever think I’d meet him, never mind get the famous blue box… so this. Well, this feels like a lot.”

I grinned. “What was on your dream man list?”

“Oh, you know… office type, blond, clean shaven, short, no six pack, no tattoos.”

I tightened my grip in her hair, tilting her head back. “Well, I’m sorry that you didn’t get your dreams.” Moving my lips to her exposed neck, I sucked hard.

“You are everything on my list,” she panted, pressing her hips against my hard cock. “Now take me home, because I want to have sex with my future husband.”

I groaned because that was possibly the sweetest line I’d ever heard.

“Lea?”IscreamedasI opened our hotel room, finding my best friend standing in the doorway. “What are you doing here?”

“Well, I heard my best friend got engaged to the man of her dreams, so I needed to come see her and celebrate. Plus, someone offered me VIP tickets to see Alchemy Myth in Madison Square Gardens.”

She looked stunning. Her long dark hair was loose, framing her heart shaped face. Dressed in a plain t-shirt, cut off jean shorts, and trainers, she looked like she was made for New York. I stepped back, welcoming her in.

“So let me see. He said he didn’t go traditional.”

I held out my wrist.
