He turned, lifting his face to mine, his proximity making my body hum. “I don’t know you.”

“But trust me anyway.” He paused and then nodded before walking back to the hotel while my heart hammered in my chest.

Dawson used the keycard to unlock the door, stepping into the suite I’d brought Fox and Lea to earlier. Fox lay on the sofa in a pair of boxers with Lea on top of him, drawing shapes on his chest with her finger while they talked. Their heads turned as they heard us.

“Everything okay? You’ve been gone for hours,” Fox asked, looking genuinely concerned.

“I didn’t think you’d notice. I didn’t want to interrupt your moment,” Dawson replied, the hurt clear in his voice despite his face looking like he couldn’t really care less. Now I knew about his autism, his behavior made so much sense. I stayed close, giving him strength and reassurance while he continued, and I tried to ignore the way the heat of his body burned through me.

Lea sat up, her long hair tumbling down over her cropped vest top. “What?”

“Your moment. You were backstage, wrapped around each other. Neither of you even reached for me.”

Fox sat up too. “You hate affection. You’ve told us not to touch you in front of people. We presumed you didn’t want anyone knowing about us because of your job.” Fox looked at Lea and then back at Dawson. “Jesus, we were just doing what you asked.”

Dawson’s mouth fell open. “I did say that, didn’t I? So, it’s not because you don’t want people to know?”

Lea stood and Dawson and I groaned in unison as we noticed the tiny black panties she was wearing. She stepped toward him, raking her fingers through his hair, making his eyes flutter closed before opening again.

“We know how particular you are about things and we don’t want to stress you out, so we do as we’re told. You don’t like soft touches, you don’t want to stay the night and cuddle, you like to take charge… we thought we were giving you what you want, Dawson. Is that not what you want?”

“I don’t want to be a dirty secret,” he whispered, avoiding her gaze.

Lea let out a whimper before her eyes darkened and she slammed her lips against his, kissing him with such an intensity that I could feel her emotions pouring into him and I hoped he could feel it too.

When she broke away, there were tears in her eyes. “You’re not a dirty secret. I care about you. Fox cares about you. We’ve been together for months. Why would you think that?”

His head dropped. “You just don’t seem to want people to know about me.”

“Because we didn’t thinkyouwanted people to know.” Fox appeared next to them, grabbing Dawson’s chin and lifting his face. “Do you want people to know about us?”

Despite Fox’s hold on him, Dawson nodded. Feeling like I was invading on a very private moment, I moved to the door, intending to step out into the hall and get on with my job, but a hand landed in mine. “Stay. I want you to stay.” Dawson’s eyes burned with a hint of vulnerability that cracked my hardened heart open like a shell breaking and something shifted. Something I wasn’t ready for. “I trust you,” he whispered as Lea and Fox looked between us, obviously wondering what had gone on.

Sucking in a breath as his words hammered at my protective walls, I tried to offer him the support I knew he needed. “Answer their question,” I instructed. “Do you want people to know about y’all?”

“I do. Maybe not the world, but your friends, the band, the label. I want them to know.” He let out a sad sigh. “I want you to kiss me. I want you to hold my hand. I want to be the person you reach for too.”

Fox’s eyes widened as a smile spread across his face. “I can do that. Le?”

She wrapped her hand in his. “I’d love to do that.”

Lea pressed herself against Dawson’s chest, hugging him tightly as Fox leaned their foreheads together. I watched their moment as I tried to ignore that Dawson’s hand was still firmly in mine and I didn’t want him to let go.

Chapter 11

Lea

Dawsonhadbeenina weird mood since Fox stepped offstage, but now it made sense. I kissed Fox; I held his hand; I hugged him without asking; I was way more affectionate with him. It wasn’t because he meant more to me. God, I adored them both, but Dawson was so anti-touching that it was something we’d grown used to. Knowing he wanted more made me think things were progressing between us, and I loved that idea.

“Is there a reason you’re in your underwear, Sunshine?” Dawson questioned, the atmosphere in the room shifting as a result of us being honest about how we felt.

“I was hoping to get fucked,” I purred as I unfastened my bra and dropped it to the floor.

“Marshall, we’re going to the bedroom. Are you coming?” Dawson asked, dominance hanging from his words.

“I wouldn’t miss it.”

I’d kissed Marshall earlier while Fox and Dawson made me come with their fingers and it was the strongest orgasm I’d ever had. The thought of him watching made me wet, but the idea of him joining in made my body burn. He moved to the high back red chair in the corner of the room. Before he sat, he did that thing men do where they pull their t-shirt off in one smooth move. I thought he’d sit, but instead, he stripped naked. I groaned as I took him in for the first time. His body was spectacular. Every muscle defined like he’d spent his life in the gym.
