“What time is it?”

“6.30.”

“Shit. I slept like a log.”

“That’s what happens when you fuck our girl for hours, then two more people join you, and you DP her.”

I groaned at the memory. “God, it felt so good.” I moved to pour a coffee, topping up his mug too, before sitting right next to him on the sofa. I waited for him to make a comment or subtly move away, but he didn’t and I loved that he seemed to be relaxing around me. “What you working on?”

“A list of commitments you and Lea have. I’m trying to work out how I can keep us all together so we’re not taken out by a witch’s curse.”

“You think it’s really real?”

I raised an eyebrow. “You remember how terrifying she was? How fucked up the whole thing was, right? You wanna test it to find out?”

I shuddered at the memory. “No, not really. What you got so far?”

“You need to finish this tour, but we don’t have that long left. Then Lea has the Mercury awards, so I guess that will take up the next month.”

“That’s good. I told Archer I wanted some time off. We need to go back to the studio and make some new music.”

“But then what? Lea has a business in the UK and you’re on the road all the time. We can’t be in two places at once.” I took the pen and paper from him, placing his coffee mug on the table along with mine.

“One problem at a time, Daw. We don’t expect you to fix everything.”

“But it’s my job.”

I leaned in and bit his bottom lip gently. “I know and you do it so well… Daddy.” I whispered the last word, his eyes flaring as I did. “And while we’re talking about daddies, what’s the story with Marshall?”

Daw wrapped his fingers in mine and stared down at our hands like they were alien objects. “He’s into men.”

I hummed my agreement. “You know for sure?”

“No, but no straight man is as obsessed as fucking a woman full of another man’s cum and there’s been some… other stuff?”

“Like?”

He shook his head, lifting my hand and pressing a kiss to my knuckles. “It’s not my story to share, but give him time and I’m sure you’ll see.”

“Or I’m not his type,” I let out in a huff.

“Aw, Bunny, you never struck me as the needy type, but you’re his type. You’re everyone’s type.”

I leaned my head onto Daw’s shoulder, my hand still in his, and let out a contented sigh, wondering if this curse might have been just the thing we needed to create our perfect group. “So if you’re earth because you’re the foundation of us and I’m water, what does that say about me?”

Dawson chuckled. “Well, you look like a surfer dude, so it could be that.” I nudged him hard with my shoulder, but he tightened his grip on my hand so I couldn’t pull away. “But, Bunny, I think it’s because you go with the flow. You’re happy in any situation. You make everyone relax and feel at ease… that’s why you’re water.”

I pressed a kiss to his cheek. “Smooth, Daw.”

“Why, thank you. I try.”

“Now, make me breakfast and if you want to cook naked, I wouldn’t object.”

His face fell. “I think you know me well enough to know I won’t be naked cooking. Hygiene, possible potential dick injuries with hot oil… it’s a hard no.”

“Hey, hand holding would have been a hard no a few months ago and now look at you.”

“You’re on thin ice, Bunny,” he growled.
