Fox pointed to the table where a glass of water sat next to two white tablets. “Painkillers.”

“Thanks.” I downed them gratefully and then took a sip of my coffee.

“You want breakfast?” Dawson asked.

I lifted my knees to the bench, wrapping my arms around them protectively, shaking my head.

“You need to eat, Sunshine.”

I burst into tears again.Fuck, what is wrong with me?

“Le?” Fox sounded almost in pain. I pulled in tighter, feeling emotionally raw.

“I don’t feel great. We had a great night out, then we woke up with matching tattoos none of us remember getting and then last night happened… but when I woke up, you two were gone and you left me with Mr. Asshole over there.” I nudged my head toward Marshall, who dropped his eyes from my accusing gaze. “Who reminded me he wasstuckwith me… with us. I don’t want any of you to be here because you feel like youhaveto be.” A sob tore from my throat and my shoulders shook uncontrollably. “I want you to want me.”

Fox pulled me into his hold. “Hey, I love you. That hasn’t changed. That won’t change. Not ever. No matter what these dickheads say, you’ve got me forever, Le.”

“Really?” I sniffed.

“Really,” he whispered, pressing a kiss to my forehead.

Dawson reached over, placing his hand on my knee, his touch making me cry more because it was so unlike him. “You’ve got me too, Sunshine. I like being around you… both of you. Fuck, all of you.”

“But, Marshall—” I didn’t get another word out because Fox interrupted me.

“Shit. Subdrop.”

“What?” Marshall and Dawson said together.

“Oh, Le, I’m so sorry. We’ve done this to you.”

The tears fell freely now, and I didn’t even bother to stop them, but I had no idea what he was talking about.

“Shit, shit, shit. A subdrop is something that can happen after a scene with a sub and Dom. Endorphins get so high and then you crash. It’s why aftercare is so important.”

“I’m not a sub,” I whispered.

“Le, last night the three of us fucked you… a lot. You might not have been a sub in the official sense, but you were our toy for a few hours. You enjoyed it, so your endorphins spiked and then we just gave you some water and went to sleep, and worse yet, Daw and I left before you woke up and then Marshall upset you. It’s no wonder you feel like shit.”

“I just feel… I don’t even know,” I admitted.

“Sad? Anxious, Vulnerable?” Fox whispered, cupping my cheek.

“All of them.”

He looked around at Marshall and Dawson before he turned his attention back to me. “Right.” When he spoke, his voice was soft like velvet as he took my hand and rubbed circles over the back of it. “Do you want me or someone else to touch you, or would you rather sit alone?”

“You,” I murmured.

“You need to eat something. What do you fancy?”

“Fruit.” I never fancied fruit, but right now it was the only thing I thought I could stomach.

“And then what… what makes you happy? What do you like to do to relax?”

“Movies.”

“On you own?”
