“I don’t know what’s gotten into you recently, but you need to get off my ass,” Aidan said.

“Former Manhattan Playboy here.” Fletcher cleared his throat and raised his arm. “Most of what they say is rubbish and people know that.”

“At least fifty percent.” Daniel shrugged.

“Not helpful.” Fletcher frowned.

Andrew grunted as Amelia walked into the room. “Hey, ho...oh. What did I miss?”

She read the room fast.

Aidan spun back to his father and put his hands on his hips. Then nudged his head back at his sister. “You going to ride her ass, too?”

“What did you do?” Amelia asked.

“Language, Aidan,” his mom said.

“Okay, you know what, I’m going to play in another sandpit.” Aidan stood. “Oh, and by the way, my newest invention just won an award. Found out this morning. Can I go stay at a friend’s place overnight so I can celebrate?”

Harper snorted.

But if his father was going to treat him like a kid, then he’d rub it right in his face.

“Enough.” Andrew glared back at him.

“Guys, please stop fighting,” Logan said. “As you pointed out, Dad, this is my wedding week. We are in beautiful Hawaii, so let’s just drop the drama.”

“Leave your father, he’s just—”

“I can speak for myself, Christine,” Andrew snapped.

“Enough,” Logan growled.

“Agreed.” Aidan backed him.

None of them let his father get away with speaking to their mother poorly.

“Mom, how about you show me your wedding outfit?” Amelia said, as if on cue. The three of them had this process well practiced.

Logan shot him a look as Christine patted her husband’s leg, gave him a small smile, then stood and walked over to Amelia. “Come on then, darling. I got the dress I sent the photo of.”

“I’m coming,” Harper said.

“Me, too,” Kristen said.

“Same,” Addison said.

“Better follow the girl gang.” Olivia smirked and handed Fletcher the baby.

Baxter let out a little gurgle.

Emma stayed put with Logan, and Aidan loved her for it. But right now, he only had one girl on his mind, and he wanted to get away from his father.

Aidan suspected Lily had gone back to her room and was waiting for him.

“See you all tonight. I’ve got a few things to take care of,” he said and headed to the door.

When it closed behind him, he shook his head. There was something going on with his father, and he had no idea what.
