Jesus.

It might have been only him that noticed.

Aidan ran a hand over his mouth and then shoved his hands into his pockets as the three of them slowed to greet her.

“Hey,” Lily said, still smiling. “Isn’t this so much fun? I love markets.”

Aidan did, too, and he wished Daniel and Logan would fuck off. He had this sudden desire to take her hand and walk around in the tropical heat until the sun dropped and the party got started.

“The bands will start playing soon. The local groups are amazing,” Daniel shared.

As a regular visitor, the CEO was very familiar with all the events on Oahu and the other islands. Between him and Harper, they never needed to Google anything.

“Where’s Amelia?” Aidan suddenly asked, turning to his brother.

“No idea,” Logan said.

“She came down with me but got a text and had to leave,” Lily said. “I thought she went back up to the hotel.”

Logan turned back to him in question.

“She wasn’t with me.” Aidan shook his head.

“Christ, I’m glad we never had a sister,” Daniel groaned. “I’d have her surrounded with security twenty-four-seven.”

“Is she in danger?” Lily asked, her eyes widening.

Aidan smiled at her innocence and wanted to pull that sexy, lithe body up against his and kiss her sun-kissed nose.

“No, we’re just overprotective,” Logan said. “I’ll ring her. Lily, do you want to join us?”

Lily glanced at Aidan, and he very subtly shook his head, quietly loving that she naturally went to him for direction.

“I’m going to keep trying on some hats. I’ll catch up with you. We’re meeting on the beach later, right?” Lily smiled.

“Yup, by the volleyball nets,” Logan said, and the two men began to walk off.

“I’m going to grab a cap. Left mine at home,” Aidan called out and, not waiting for a response, turned back to the stall and lifted a Hawaii cap off the rack.

Whether they believed him or not, he didn’t care. He was staying with Lily.

Aidan shoved the cap on backward and took a step closer to Lily. He dropped his eyes to hers. “What do you think?”

“Very handsome. As always.” Lily’s cheeks pinkened.

“You think I’m handsome?” Aidan smirked.

Lily lifted her brows. Allyou know very well you’re hot.

He wasn’t oblivious to the way he attracted women, even when they had no idea what his bank account was. Unlike other members of his family who had public profiles, Aidan got away with walking around more discretely.

But hearing Lily say she thought he was handsome made him stupidly happy.

“Yes, and so do hundreds of other women—and probably men—around us right now.” She sighed as if that fact was super annoying.

He leaned down and kissed a spot on her neck, then whispered. “Well, I’ve only got eyes for you this weekend, peaches.”

Lily gave him a shy smile, then grabbed another hat.
