Iknow Decker won’tpropose right now, but I wanted Todd’s ring off my finger. It had no place being there now or ever.
But after the stunt this sexy Marine has pulled tonight, I love that he’s having a bit of an internal crisis trying to work out whether he should get down on his knees or not.
While everyone watches.
There is love pouring from his eyes, and I know mine are a mirror of his. He’s studying me, and I know he’s dying to read my mind. Call it a little moment of cheeky revenge, even though I know he did all of this for us.

That little word spreads a shiver through my body.
I keep staring at him like I’m desperately waiting, then he smirks. Suddenly, we both break out into huge smiles and start laughing. I throw myself into his arms as joy consumes me and he growls into my ear.
“I’ll do it,” he threatens.
“I know you will. But not here. I want you to ask when you’re ready. In private. When it’s just us.”
He slides me down his body. “I’m ready, but you deserve more than a sidewalk proposal, Izzy. I will make sure you know just how loved you are every minute of the rest of our lives.”
My heart does an excited little flutter.
“So, you know this man well?” Dad asks Connor, and I ignore them all. I’m not missing a single second of this moment with the man I love.
