“Why is it so damn coldhere?” Isabelle asks, and I force myself not to point out the obvious as we unlock our boots from our skis.

“Go on, say it,” she adds.

“Nope. I want to get laid tonight,” I say, standing up straight and smiling down at her beautiful face. I step closer at the same time she does, and my arms go around her. We smile like two lovesick idiots.

The problem is, we have four security around us and I won’t risk a second of her life again. It’s only been two weeks since I got her back, so Pablo could still be planning something.

I’m not sure I’ll ever feel safe enough to let her go unguarded.

Tonight, however, I have a surprise for her.

I pat her bottom with my gloved hand and kiss her nose. “Let’s get changed.”

“I do love it here. It's justcold.” She continues chatting away as we walk and I see one of the guards, Simon, suppress a grin.

She’s fucking adorable.

But we’re in the goddamn Swiss Alps on a ski mountain. I’m not sure why she expects a warm breeze.

An hour and a half later, after sinking my cock into her while she tried to wash her hair, we step back into the elevator.

“Oh, wrong floor.” Isabelle reaches for the buttons, and I grab her hand. Her big eyes turn to me in question.

“Do me a favor, keep these luscious lips closed and do not ask any questions for the next twenty minutes,” I say, running my fingers over them.

She opens her mouth, then closes it.

“You can talk. Just don’t ask where we are going,” I add, not thinking this through.

She nods.

“Okay, please talk.” I laugh.

“Where... did you get your nice shirt?” she asks.

I snort.

This is going to be painful.

The doors open, and we exit out onto the roof. A man greets us and hands us two pre-prepared winter coats.

She thought we were heading down to the hotel restaurant.

Nope.

“Thank you,” I say to the hotel employee. Then help Isabelle slip into hers and lead her over to the helicopter, which is fired up and ready.

Minutes later, we are in the air.

“This is nice,” she says, taking my hand.

I grin, squeezing her hand, and glance out at the incredible view across the snowy mountains.

She knows.

But I don’t care.
