"It's fine. I have too many men to keep track of, anyway." She swatted me away.

"So, what are we gonna do?" I asked, changing the subject.

"We have options. We could go swimming, or fishing, or watch a movie." Sammy tapped her chin. "I'm even down to reading all day."

Sammy loved books like I did. Maybe not as much, but she could devour a dark romance book in a day.

"Why don't we lay out by the water and read?" I shrugged. "That way we can also get some vitamin D. Best of both worlds."

"That's a damn good idea." She smiled. "I'll get my book and we can throw a blanket out. You want something to drink?"

"Yeah, that sounds good." I walked over to my bag and pulled out the sexy one-piece I had bought.

Since I was on the beach, I figured it was the perfect time to wear something so revealing. I looked at myself in the mirror and smiled. I did look pretty hot. The top was strapless, and the bottoms were high-cut. I slipped it on, and it hugged my curves perfectly.

"So, what do you think?" I turned around and twirled.

"You look fucking hot. And those boys are going to be in a frenzy." Sammy laughed.

My cheeks turned red. I didn't know how to reply to compliments. To try to not sound silly, I nodded and grabbed my book, then followed her outside.

We laid out on the blankets and cracked open our books. Mine was the latest Melody Caraballo book. The girl knew how to write a compelling story. I flipped through the pages and tried to concentrate.

I glanced over to the group of guys. They were all off in their own little fishing spots. I watched as they cast their lines and then turned away. I was trying to concentrate. The words weren't even making sense to me. I heard footsteps in the grass, and I looked up to see Rex slowly walking towards me.

I grinned up at him. He was wearing a pair of shorts and nothing else. His muscular chest and abs were on full display, towering over me.

"Hey, beautiful." He grinned. "How are you doing?"

"Pretty good," I smiled.

He got closer, and the citrus in his cologne was intoxicating. He sat next to me, blocking my view of Sammy. His hand grazed my thigh, sending a chill up my spine.

My heart pounded in my chest as his fingers traced up and down my thigh. I was already wet.

"How's fishing going?" I asked, trying to ignore the way his touch set my body on fire.

"Not bad, wanna do some fishing with me?" he asked.

"Sure, why not," I said.

"Count me out." Sammy didn't lift her head from her book.

"Change your mind and we will be down there." Rex pointed toward the edge of the lake. His eyes sparkled, and I wanted to jump on him. He stood and reached his hand out for me. I took it and followed him to the end of the lake.

My heart was racing as he handed me a pole. I tried to act normal, but I was so excited to be around him.

"I don't do very well with fish," I laughed. My hands trembled when I gripped the pole.

"Aw, you'll do great." He chuckled. "Just try your best."

"Probably not." I stared at the pole. What the heck was I supposed to do?

"I'll show you." He stepped behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist. His hands rested on top of mine. "Like this." He showed me how to cast the line. "If you hook anything, you pull it in. Okay?"

"But what if catch a fish?" I asked.

"Then you pull it in." He smirked.
