I met her mouth with mine, and slid the blindfold off while I consumed her mouth, and we collapsed side by side onto her queen sized bed.

We quickly fell asleep. In the morning, I awoke to Addison in the bathroom retching.

I pushed the door open.

“Oh God, don’t come in here, Damian.” She looked pale and sick. “I can’t keep throwing up in front of you.”

I pushed the door open wider and felt her forehead. It was hot. I got a washcloth and ran it under cool water, and rung it out, putting it over her neck. She vomited again, leaning on the bowl. “Seriously, get out.” She weakly instructed.

“Not a chance.” I grabbed a hair tie and pulled her hair back away from the bowl.

Potato wandered into the bathroom, being extremely chatty.

“I haven’t fed him yet,” Addison moaned into the bowl.

“I’ll do it.” I got up and found the cat's food. Potato trotted out to the kitchen behind me and hopped up on the counter, purring deeply as he desperately tried to get the food. “Just a minute, buddy.” I blocked him as I tapped the food out of the can. “There you go.” I set the plate on the floor for him.

I went back to the bathroom and leaned against the sink, as Addison sat on the floor leaning against the bathtub.

“Maybe it was food poisoning?” She offered.

I shook my head, my wheels turning. “I feel fine.”

“Yeah, but I had more oysters than you did. Plus, look how much bigger you are, percentage wise. I definitely ate enough to get sick, if they were bad.” She looked at me, making a face. “Oh God.” And then leaned back over the bowl.

“I’m heading down to the corner store to get you something. I’ll be back in ten. Do you need anything before I go?”

She shook her head, still hanging over the bowl.

I quickly splashed some cold water on my face, and smoothed my hair down, in an effort to tame my tousled bed head. Addison loved to run her hands through my hair, and she had done plenty of that last night.

I pulled on my trousers and my white undershirt, and headed out the door. I went to the corner drugstore, and grabbed some antacid and ginger ale, and I shook my head and went down another aisle and grabbed a pregnancy test.

When I rounded the corner back to the apartment, Jack stood knocking at Addisons door.

“You fucking little shit.” I quickly closed the gap between us. I dropped the bag and grabbed him by the shirt, and slamming him against the wall. I swung, landing a punch square across his jaw as I pinned him to the wall. The door swung open and Addison materialized in the dark. She poked her head out, and as soon as she saw what was happening, she threw her arms up in the air and slammed the door behind her without a word.

“I’m calling the cops. This is a violation of your restraining order. This is your last warning. If you don’t leave her alone, you won’t be around to botheranyone. You got me?” I shoved him into the wall and leaned down to grab my bag, collecting the items that had spilled out.

“Fuck you, man.” Jack said and spat at me. I saw him clock the pregnancy test as I shoved it back in the bag. “She’s pregnant?”

“That’s none of your concern.” I took a step towards him, and he backed down the steps wide eyed.

I pushed the door open and found Addison curled back up in bed.

“Is he gone?”

I nodded.

“I got you ginger ale.” I set it on the nightstand.

“Thanks.” She laid there weakly.

I slipped my hand under the covers, rubbing her stomach. I looked at her for a moment, not sure what I wanted the outcome to be.

“I got you one more thing.”

She raised her eyebrow. “What’s that?”
