"What are you waiting for?" he asked. "Pour me a drink."

I hid the smirk that was about to pop up.

"Pour yourself a drink."

"Oh, you have sass now?" he enquired, sitting down in his chair. He kept the gun trained on me. "Where's my daughter?"

"Mydaughter is safe."

"You can't possibly think you'll win here. I have more power than your father ever had."

"And yet, I have my daughter and you haven't a clue where she is. In fact, I managed to sneak on the compound unnoticed."

"Perhaps," he replied, nonchalantly. "But you won't leave unnoticed."

"We'll see."

He put the gun down on the desk, the nozzle still aimed at me, and leaned back in his chair. He looked over at the decanter of whisky and smirked back at me.

"You poisoned it, didn't you?"

"If I did that, wouldn't I want to eagerly pour you one?"

"You think you can outsmart me, Callie?" he asked. "Think again. What do you hope to accomplish here?"

I had thought that same question before I'd climbed the wall and snuck in.

Simply put, I wanted a life.

A life where Christa didn't see men beating women and think it's okay. A life where she would question whether violence was normal or not.

I wanted her to live happily.

Judd would never let me have Christa, and I knew that. That was why this was the only option I could take. I just knew I couldn't leave her in this maniac's psychotic hands.

"I have what I came for."

"The passports?"

"I'll be on my way now."

Judd smirked. An unnerving smirk that would be my undoing if I weren't so in control right now. He was utterly amused. He brushed his fingers over his lips as he thought of his next move. I had to hold back the victory I was feeling. The poison I'd dipped his gun in would now be making its way through his lips. Soon, he'd feel a burning and I knew he would flick his tongue out to wet his lips, sealing his fate.

He was doing exactly what I thought he would do.

I could leave now, and get away, but I knew I had to see it. I had to watch him writhe in pain as he died, and I needed to see his eyes when he realised, I had bested him.

He picked the gun up and stood. "What makes you think I'll allow that."

"You can't control me anymore, Judd."

Just as I suspected, Judd's tongue flicked out over his bottom lip and circled up to his top lip, wetting them. I could see his lips were becoming swollen, and sweat was slowly starting to beat on his forehead. His eyes widened, as if he knew what I'd done. I felt a sense of jubilation bubble over me at what I would soon witness.

Judd.

Crumbling.

"What did you do?" he asked, his voice strangled in pain.
