Seeing her makes my stomach turn. But then she walks straight up to Itch and leans forward, her lips at his ear as she says something that makes him laugh. Reese, who was the last woman left on the dancefloor with me, sneaks off with Agony.

Kiplyn and Roadkill left a while ago. She claimed she had to work the next day, but I know she was probably exhausted because of the pregnancy.

This leaves me alone in the middle of the dance floor, and when I turn around to run away and hide, I am met by both of my brothers standing behind me.

“Little sister is married,” Dutch slurs.

I don’t say a word. I know when it comes to Dutch and even Raul, silent is the best thing you can be. Dutch leans over slightly. I can smell the alcohol on him, and it makes me want to throw up, but I stand firm and just stare at him.

“You are theirs now,” he hisses. “I’m sure you’ll be one of their whores, too. It’s what you’ve been trained for. A virgin for a man to use and whore out.”

I hate his words. If I hadn’t heard them before, I would probably cry, but I’m able to blink back the tears. I may be technically a virgin, but Cyrus did everything else to me he could think of except break my hymen.

I don’t consider myself a virgin at all, but if it makes these men feel better to think of me that way… then whatever.

“She is a married woman now,” Raul purrs.

His voice is always so smooth, his tone never wavering, not even in his anger. Most people would likely consider him calm, cool, and collected. Inside, he is none of the above. Inside, he is full of hate, anger, and rage. He’s just better at controlling it than Dutch. He’s like our father.

“I am,” I say.

He hums, his gaze searching mine. “And you’ll do whatever your husband demands of you. Won’t you. This is what you’ve been trained for, little sister.”

“Yes, Raul,” I whisper, knowing he only wants my vow of compliance.

“You don’t, that voids the contract. He can do as he wishes with you. It also makes it uncomfortable for our business situation. They’re already unhappy with us considering Dutch’s mistakes. You must be perfect.”

“Yes, Raul.”

He smiles then lifts his hand and cups my cheek. I hate it when he touches me. I wanted him to stay in prison forever. I wanted Dutch to join him, so I could fade away and disappear, never to be seen again, but that wasn’t in the cards for me.

“Be a good girl.”

A shiver of disgust rolls down my back, then Raul’s entire body stiffens and his hand drops from my cheek right before I feel a palm against my back. I know who is touching me without even having to turn around.

It’s Itch.

Kyle.

My husband.

“Wedding’s pretty much done,” Itch announces.

“So it is,” Raul murmurs.

I’ve never seen my brother back down before, and I’m wondering if he’s going to do that right now. I stare, unable to move. I’m not even sure I’m breathing right now. But I’m watching and waiting for what is going to happen next.

Then it does.

Raul takes a single step backward. “I’ll see you soon, Itch.”

He looks at me, dips his chin, then turns around, his back all I see. Dutch does the same, but as they walk away, I feel the finality of this moment. My brothers have contracted me and handed me off. This is it. This is probably the last time I will ever see them. I should be sad about that, but I feel nothing other than relief.

“Are you ready?” Itch slurs.

I hadn’t realized he was drunk when he was talking to my brother, but when I shift my attention over to him, I am surprised to see that he is very much inebriated. Like, he’s swaying next to me he’s so drunk.

“Where are we going?” I ask.
