“It was like a sunset. But the kind with purples, pinks, violets, and golds. Maybe some super dark blue. Lights and a shit ton of pillows. Soft things like velvet.”
Claire nodded. “Addie can work with that.”
“Okay.” Ash kept catching his breath. “The others have to know.”
“I’ll take care of it, Asher. You take care of yourself and her. As much as you can.”
He glanced back toward the stage. “I’ll check in at intermission.”
Then he was gone, back into another wing for his next entrance. I looked at Claire. “Thank you.”
“It’s no trouble. Addison loves Sloane. She’ll be salivating over this.”
I sent a text to the pack group text.
JACE
Mayday. I need you guys down here. Sloane will understand.
GABRIEL
What’s going on?
JACE
Get down here and I’ll tell you.
I dialed the number Claire gave me.
“Hello?”
“Addison?”
“Yup!” Her voice was cheery. “Who’s this?”
“My name is Jace McKenna. Claire gave me your number. I’m one of Sloane Glass’s Alphas.”
A short silence. “Oh. Hi. What can I do for you?”
“Sloane’s on stage, but she’s also going into heat. Claire said—”
“Got it. Tell me what she likes and give me the address. How much time do we have?”
Relief washed through me in a wave. “A couple hours. Three at most.” I gave her our address and repeated what Ash said about what she wanted.
“I’ll need someone at the house in an hour to let me and the team in and show us where we’re going.”
“Someone will be there.”
“Then consider it done.”
“You’re a lifesaver, thank you.”
Addison laughed. “I know.”
The line went dead just as Gabe and Roman came backstage. “What’s going on?” Gabriel asked, fully in protection mode.
“Sloane’s going into heat.”
