I carefully pulled her into my arms. "I do," I sighed.

"You might as well ask me to stop breathing," she joked, but her laugh was hoarse.

"You need rest," I said, concerned.

"Then lay with me." She scooted out of my arms and to the side of the narrow bed the doctor had brought.

I carefully did as she requested and with a deep sigh of contentment, she snuggled into my chest. "I love you, Azazel."

"I love you more," I said and meant it. There was no way in hell her love for me could ever be deeper than mine for her.

"Let's call it a draw for now." I felt her smile against my skin and leaned up to kiss the top of her head.

"Alright, a draw," I conceded but didn't mean it. I would always love her more.

We laid there for a few minutes, just bathing in each other's company.

"What happened to Ben and Alex?"

"They're in the brig right now," I choked out. I desired nothing more than to kill the two bastards who forced us to the brink of the seven hells. No, scratch that, I had wanted her to live more than anything, but now that Fay was awake and on the mend…

"Ben is the brother I never met," she said softly.

"I know," I conceded.

"I would like to talk to him."

Everything in me rebelled at allowing that to happen, but part of me understood her request.

"They were misled," she added.

"They might have been," I allowed, "but it was their own free will that made them cut my throat and endanger you. The first part I might be able to forgive, the second," I shook my head, "never."

"Oh, Azazel." She snuggled into me and that was good enough for now.

Reluctantly, the next day I took her to the brig, which was slowly filling up. Besides the two males, Behlial was also incarcerated there. Fay was still weak, and it took all my willpower not to pull her into my arms and carry her back to bed, but Seth, our new King of Darkness, was antsy to leave Adama behind and get on with the second part of our thankfully altered quest. If I didn't want to take the two bastards with us, I had to take Fay to them now.

"Fay, you're alive," Alex exclaimed.

"No thanks to you," I snarled.

"Azazel, you promised to be good," Fay chided, and with a huff I leaned against the wall, crossing my arms over my chest, while shooting warning glances at the two chained males.

She stepped forward, and I growled, "Don't."

She threw me an exasperated glance over her shoulder but stopped just out of reach of the two males.

"Ben," she looked at the other male.

"It's good to see you alive, sister," Ben replied, but judging by his expression, he was wary of her. Good.

"We will take you back to Earth," Fay promised, and I rolled my eyes. She had forced that promise from me with dirty tricks that would have put Behlial to shame. But my cock hardened at the memory of her little tricks.

"Before you leave, I wanted to at least meet you. I'm sorry I didn't even know I had a brother." Regret laced her voice, and my heart went out to her. I cursed her parents who had kept them apart. "Did you know… about me?"

Ben nodded. "Yes, but not for many years. I only found out when I was chosen to be mated with one of the female Nayphyllyms, Lilith."

Lilith's name came from his lips like a regret, and I stiffened. While Fay had been out, Lilith had filled us in on what she knew about Ben. As much as Fay might have wished for Ben to stay with us, there was no way Ben could accompany us on our quest. He would be too much of a liability.
