“Sweetheart, if I did, I would tell you. Pippin just said we were to have an early dinner, and they would pick us up at six. That is all he would tell me.”

“But he also said we had to look pretty?” she asks looking down at her favourite red dress, which she’s chosen to wear with white tights and black shoes. Her hair is hanging down in loose curls pinned half up just the way she likes it. She spins around causing the dress to flare out around her knees.

“Yes, he did, and you look very pretty,” I chuckle as she spins around again. Lights shine through the lounge window.

“They are here!” Luna exclaims excitedly rushing to the window. She stops and stares before turning to look at me confused.

“That car is huge!”

“What car?” I ask. But before I can get to the window to look, she drops the curtain and races towards the front door where there is a knock.

“I’ve seen it's them!” she calls out throwing open the door as I grab our coats and bags.

“Luna Bug, you are meant to wait for Mommy to answer the door,” I hear Calvin chuckle as I reach the door and look through to see the three guys all standing on the doorstep in navy and black suits each holding two roses, one white, one red.

“Who are the flowers for?” Lunas asks, grinning as she can already guess.

“The white ones are for you, princess,” Logan says, passing her his white flower and placing a kiss on her cheek before standing back up and looking straight at me over her head. “And the red ones are for Mommy,” he adds, stepping around her to place a kiss on my cheek as I take the flower from him. I feel my face warming as the guys take turns to give us each a flower and a kiss on the cheek. As Calvin steps back Luna looks at me beaming holding her three flowers.

“How about I take Luna Bug to the car, and you can put the flowers in water real quick?” Calvin offers as I nod and take the flowers from her hand. She takes hold of Calvins and Drew's hand and heads to the …

“Is that a limo?” I exclaim, staring at the long black car parked on the street at the bottom of my drive.

“This way we only need one car, and we can all travel together,” Calvin winks over his shoulder as Logan walks towards the kitchen and beckons me to follow. By the time I get in there, he has a glass from the cupboard and is filling it with water. He takes the flowers from my hand and places them in the water before pulling me into his arms and kissing me. As he pulls away, I smile and wipe my lipstick from his lips.

“So, they know about last night?” I ask. Logan nods smiling and takes my hand.

“They do and we plan on talking to you about it after this evening. First, we want to enjoy some time just the five of us. We want to test the water with Luna,” he answers. I nod and let him lead me from the kitchen to the front door. I grab our coats and bags back off the peg and we lock up before joining the others in the back of the limo where a driver is holding a door open for us.

Once we are sat inside, I see Luna sitting between Calvin and Drew looking around in awe.

“Are you going to tell us where we are going?” I ask looking between the three men who all share a very smug look.

“A little birdy told me that a certain little bug loves Barbie: The Nutcracker,” Calvin answers smiling at Luna who nods excitedly. “Well one of the owners of this big car is a very talented ballerina and can you guess what she is performing in tonight?” he asks her.

“Barbie: The Nutcracker?” she exclaims as we all laugh at her excitement.

“Close, it’s just the Nutcracker, no Barbies sorry,” Calvin laughs.

“You really got her tickets to watch The Nutcracker?” I ask amazed. Calvin nods before turning his attention back to Luna.

“And afterwards we are going to meet a couple of the dancers,” he adds. We all watch as Luna stares at him for a moment before throwing her arms around his neck.

“Thank you, thank you, thank you,” she screams no doubt deafening him. Calvin laughs as he hugs her back.

“It wasn’t just me who organised it all, it was all three of us,” he says, winking at me over Luna's shoulder. Luna makes a point of jumping at each one of the guys before sitting back between Drew and Calvin excitedly.

“Mummy we are seeing a real ballerina!” she exclaims her feet dangling from the edge of the seat.

“I know honey, you are so lucky,” I chuckle as I feel Logan take my hand in his and realise, she isn’t the only lucky one.

Everything about tonight has gone to plan. Luna and Chelsea loved that we were in a top box, and Luna could see the whole production from up high. Jason and Maximus were both in the box as well. They had requested ice cream and popcorn for Luna, and when she started dancing along to the music, the whole box cheered for not only the dancers but her as well.

By the end of the performance, the only thing keeping Luna awake was that she would be meeting three real-life ballerinas. She rushes off ahead, dragging Logan and Drew with her as I stay a few steps behind with Jason, Chelsea and Maximus. Chelsea is beside me, and I can't stop myself from placing an arm around her shoulders, keeping her close.
