But Gabe doesn’t argue. His thrusts slow. He sinks deep and holds there, pulsing inside me. He tucks his head against the nape of my neck and blows out several deep breaths. “I always did like the way you edged me,” he says.

He eases out, kissing my shoulder as he goes. I look up at Darwin, somewhat concerned that he’s going to slam into me. Not that I can’t take it; whatever he dishes out, I’m here for. I just know he wanted something different. But that might have to wait until next time. Maybe he’s been pushed too far.

Darwin catches my chin with his finger. “Beauty,” he whispers.

I smile at him. “Love.”

Chapter41

Salt and Gold

Darwin slides his hand up my thigh, taking his time, kneading the muscle, then he slides his hand back down to my knee. He tickles the soft spot behind the tendon until a breathy giggle escapes me.

“Can you do the splits, Teddy?”

“Dunnow, mate. I’m not a cheerleader.”

“You’re our cheerleader,” Gabe murmurs, rubbing his slick shaft between my arse-cheeks.

“I’m buying you a pair of pom poms so we can act out some very dirty locker room fantasies of mine,” Darwin tells me. “But for tonight, lift your knee as high as you can.”

I get it up to his shoulder before my hamstring informs me this is the dumbest idea I’ve ever had. Darwin bends my leg and tucks my knee into his armpit, securing my leg against his body. His fingers tickle down the back of my thigh and around the curve of my arse.

“Look at you, teddy bear,” Darwin whispers to me, his voice a deep rasp. “Completely open to me. I can take you any way I like.”

I lick at his lips and feed his fantasy. “I’m all yours.”

His eyes sheen gold. “Teddy.”

“Go on,” I urge him between licks and nibbles.

He runs his fingertips between my lips, dipping in to circle my opening and clit. “I won’t be able to let you go after this. Don’t ask me to.”

“Gimme one of your hands. Let me hold on to you so you know I’ll never let go.”

He presses his forehead against mine, then rearranges us so my head’s pillowed on his bent arm and his fingers are threaded through mine. I give those long digits a firm squeeze.

He lines himself up with his free hand and notches his tip at my opening. I hold my breath, waiting for him to punch in, but he doesn’t. He shifts his hips so his tip kisses in and out of me, never completely withdrawing, making a slippery mess of both of us. The noise is obscene. It’s hot and teasing, messy and perfectly us.

Gabe kisses my neck and shoulders and thrusts against my back while Darwin torments me. “That sound is driving me crazy.”

Darwin grunts in agreement, never taking his eyes off mine. The muscles of his back and hips tremble with restraint. I squeeze his hand again. “Let go, Dar. You don’t have to hold back. There’s nothing but love here.”

He blows out a long breath that feathers over my lips. “Baby, teddy bear, I’m afraid of letting go. What if what’s inside me hurts either of you?”

This is another of those moments where I just have to trust them. We’ve wandered up to the cliff edge together and now, we’re holding hands, leaning over the edge, and staring down into the abyss. Either we jump together and trust there will be something to catch us, or we back away from the ledge shakily.

I’ve never been one to back away.

“I believe in you,” I say, kissing him between and around each word. “I trust you. Whatever happens, we’ll handle it together.”

His breath catches. “Together?”

“Together, Dar. Always together.”

His eyes pinch closed. When he opens them, they’re blown, brimming, and full of hope.

He pushes slowly inside me. I dig my heel into his back, pulling him all the way in.
