It wasn’t super obvious. But you could tell. And the perfectionist in me was having a hard time convincing myself it would be fine. The part of me that really wanted to get a new video out was trying to say no one could tell.

I think my brain is melting. I have been staring at my computer way too long.

Keeping up with this schedule is hard work. Publishing videos more often is so time-consuming, and I’m not quite getting the traction I thought I would. Yeah, I’m growing, but not as much as I was hoping.

My phone dings next to me, but I am almost done with this video on deep breathing, so I ignore it.

Until it dings again.

And again.

And again.

My curiosity peaked, I unlock my phone and look at the messages.

Emma

Holy shit, holy shit, holy shit. The guy from the bar is my professor! Red alert! This is not a drill!

Jade

What guy from the bar? When did you pick someone up???

NOOOOOOO

The guy who went down on you???

Emma

YES! Help! What should I do?

Jade

Ask him for a do-over?

Emma

JADE!!!

Jade

Okay, okay, where are you now?

Emma

In an empty classroom. Class is over.

Sara

Did you talk to him?

Emma

No! What would I say? Hi, remember me? The woman who freaked out when you tried to . . . ARGH. See, I can’t even finish that sentence in a text!

Sara

Did he know who you were?
