“Is this a question game?”

In a serious tone, she ordered, “No more games.”

“Alright, fair enough.” I repeated her question. “Why do I love you?”

“Yes. Why does one of the richest men in the world love me?”

“Money means nothing to me.”

“You wouldn’t think that with all your estates and cars.”

“Those are investments.”

“Says every billionaire.”

I cocked my head to the side, baiting, “You talk to a lot of billionaires, Livvy?”

She stepped back into the water, never taking her sparkling eyes away from me. “Once or twice, but you’re the only one worth a damn.”

My feet moved of their own accord, only stopping when I was close enough to touch her.

I didn’t.

Her honey scent assaulted my senses from the light breeze in the air coming my way.

“Since the first day I met you, dressed in overalls kind of like you are now. Your hair was in pigtails, and your freckles were prominent on your cheeks and nose. They were so enticing. I remember looking up at you from my bus seat and being mesmerized by them. I remember wanting to count them so I would know how many freckles were on your face.”

“Ethan…”

“Since that moment, you’ve always been my favorite thing to look at. I know everything about you. The way your eyes shine bright when you’re unbelievably happy. The way your smile can literally make my heart race. The way your laughter has always been so fucking contagious. I know the way you feel, the way you taste, the way you love… You were my first kiss, Livvy. You were my first everything.” I paused to let my words sink in. “It doesn’t matter where I go, where I’m at, or who I’m with, it’s always been you. You ask me what I love about you, Elizabeth Collins? It’s more like what I don’t love about you. There is no me without you.” I grabbed the sides of her face, and she leaned into my embrace.

“You were mine first. You’re my girl, baby.”

Her mouth parted, and I glided my thumb across her bottom lip. “I’m not going to tell you it’s always been easy because it hasn’t, but that’s never mattered between us. You understand what I’m saying?”

She nodded, looking at me all doe-eyed.

“And I’m sorry it’s taken me this damn long to finally, finally do this.” Tugging her toward me with my hand on the crook of her neck, I kissed her.

“I love you,” she moaned in my mouth.

“I love you.”

My hands gripped her ass to wrap her legs around my waist as I carried her to the bed of my truck. Once I set her down on the edge, I stood between her legs. What started off innocent turned into something else entirely. Our hands began to roam, not being able to decide where we wanted to touch each other the most.

When her small, delicate hand found my cock, she moaned again.

“Fuck,” I growled into her lips as she stroked me up and down, her hand barely closing around my shaft.

I leaned back and helped her take off her top. My mouth instantly sucked on her nipple, flicking and swirling it before moving over to the other hardened peak, making her moan in pleasure. Forcefully yet gently, I played with her sensitive bud until she was at my mercy.

I kissed and licked my way down to her stomach, her body responding to every sensation inflicted by my mouth. Everywhere I touched left behind a trail of fire in its wake. The feelings lingered on each caress of her delicate skin, burning from the aftereffects.

I dropped to my knees, gazing up at her through the slits of my heavy eyes. My fingers laced into the sides of her panties and overalls, yanking them off in one quick, sudden movement. I tossed them beside her shirt while gazing up at her, admiring her beauty.

She was naked.

Warm.
