"I was thinking that we could get take-out tonight as a treat. Do you want Chinese or Indian?" Nana asks as she reaches for some menus.

"Definitely Chinese, if that's okay with you guys, of course."

"Chinese sounds good," Nana agrees with a smile, handing me the correct menu. Then she goes to the kitchen to find a pen and some paper.

"Do you want to talk about what happened tonight? Nana asks once she's ordered and my pops has left the room.

"Not tonight Nana. Tonight I just want to forget everything and enjoy my night, if that's okay?"

"Of course, dear, I'm here whenever you need me though, okay."

"Thank you, Nana. I'm so happy to be here with you. I love you and Pops so much."

"And we love you too dear, more than sprinkles, you know that." Nana replies as he hugs me tightly.

Thirty minutes later, the food arrives. We couldn't decide what we wanted, so we opted for a buffet. We ordered sweet and sour chicken, duck spring rolls, rice, French fries, and a beef curry. We fill our plates with a little bit of everything before heading to the lounge to watch one of our favorite movies of all time,The Green Mile.

"I still don't understand why John Coffey had to die," I say, sniffling and trying to wipe away my tears.

"Because the world is so terrible sometimes. Besides, it was a mercy that they let him go." Nana sighs through her own tears.

"If there was ever a man, I'd have been happy to let rot, it would have been Percy," Pops adds.

"Damn right, the man deserved everything he got and more," I declare, wiping my tears with the back of my hand and feeling anger and resentment take over.

"Remember when Izzy found that mouse at the pet store and demanded we buy it?" Pops laughs.

"Remember it? I still have nightmares thinking about how you lost it" Nana giggles.

"Hey, leave my Mr. Jingles alone! He was a great mouse," I blurt, pointing my finger accusingly at her.

"Yeah, so great that he bit through the cord of my hair dryer and almost electrocuted me," Nana scolds dramatically.

"He didn't?!" I snort, trying to stifle a laugh.

"Yes, he sure did," she confirms.

"Whatever happened to him, anyway?"

"He moved to a farm where he could play all day, remember?" Nana comments in a sort of singsong voice, as if she were telling the story to a child.

"So he died, yeah?" I state.

"Yeah, the dog ate him." Pops laughs.

"George!" scolds Nana, before picking up a chip and throwing it at him.

"What? She's a big girl; she can handle it." Pops laughs, throwing his hands up in surrender.

"That's actually pretty funny." I mutter, trying to stifle my giggles, "Poor Mr. Jingles."

"Anyway, I'm pretty tired. And the girls and I want to have a spa day to recover from the stress of the last few months preparing for exams, so I'm going to turn in early. I love you both to the moon and back," I confess, giving them both a hug and a kiss on the cheek. "I love you more than sprinkles," Nana replies with a sweet smile.

I wake up to a knocking at my bedroom door. "Come in," I call sleepily, expecting to see Nana or Pops, but it's Nate's face that appears. "Morning baby, I brought you breakfast," he says, holding up a paper bag.

He makes his way over to the bed and hands me a Sausage, Egg McMuffin, and a milkshake. Before taking out a meal for himself as well.

"Thought you might need the boost today," he says with a sympathetic grin.
