I talk in detail about how I met the girls and how much fun we had at the fair. How I bumped into Nate on the carousel. Although, of course, I skipped the kiss. Instead, I told her that we just hugged and talked like old friends. I told her about the group sleepover, about how we all went out to breakfast together, and about all the wonderful wild animals I got to feed.

"Wow, Izzy, that sounds like something out of a fairy tale. Are you sure you didn't fall off your horse and hit your head?" Nana teases while also sitting and listening intensively with a giant smile on her face.

"Honestly, it felt like a fairy tale. And we have plans to meet again tomorrow, if that's okay with you," I add, realizing that maybe I'm being a little selfish or taking my grandparents for granted.

"Of course, I don't mind, dear. You're young and it's summer, you should go out and have fun. I can't tell you how glad I am that you've made some nice friends," Nana says happily. "I was worried that you'd have a hard time settling in here again; however, I have one request," she says, sounding serious now.

"Of course, what?" I ask, a little curious.

"You invite them all to dinner. I can't do it tomorrow, it's too short notice. Tuesday is bingo night. But Wednesday I have all day, so invite them over here. I'll cook my famous gumbo for them all," she says proudly.

"None of them are those weird, rabbit food eaters, are they?" she asks, scratching her head. "It's fine if they are; I just may have to get out a cookbook to figure out what to make," she adds quickly.

"No, Nana." I laugh. "No vegetarians or vegans, just good, old-fashioned, American meat eaters," I say in a funny voice. "I just need to make sure no one has any allergies and that they want to come, but I'm sure they'll be fine," I say, kissing her on the cheek. "It's getting late, and I've had a busy weekend. Is it okay if I go to bed early?"

"Of course, there's leftover lasagna in the microwave. Heat it up if you're hungry," she says, walking away. I heat up some food, grab a drink, and go to bed. I quickly send a text to the whole group.

Izzy:Hi everyone! Thanks again for this weekend. I had such a great time and am so glad I got to meet you all.

Riley:Sorry I had to skip the party; glad you had fun.

Harper:Oh, from what I heard, she had lots of fun *wink face emoji*

Tucker:I don't want to hear about any fun in my bed. Thank you very much.

Izzy: *shocked face emoji* There was no fun, Tucker.

Tucker:Ooh burn Nate!

Ava:Leave the girl alone, you vultures. Are we still going out tomorrow?

Izzy:Yeah, I can't wait.

Riley:Whoop whoop, girls' day!!!

Nate:Have fun, girls! Us guys will too.

Tucker:Sure will. I invited a few others., Hope you don't mind. It'll be Danny and two others you haven't met yet.

Nate:Sounds good to me, dude.

Izzy:SOOOO I've a big favor to ask you all, feel free to say no if it's weird but... Nana and Pops want to meet you all. It'll probably be super awkward, but Nana is thinking of making her famous gumbo, if you all want to come on Wednesday.

Ava:Sure, why not?

Tucker:If there's food, I'm in.

Harper:Riley and I will be there, we love Nana's gumbo

Nate:I'll have to see.

Tucker:Ooh, are you afraid to meet the family, dude?

Izzy:Actually, he has met them many times. I'm pretty sure they were our biggest cheerleaders growing up. Always sneaking us out to meet up with each other. They adore him.

Nate:Wait, they genuinely like me? Like they told you they wanted ME to come?

Izzy:Are you kidding??? Nana almost cried when I told her we had reconnected again. I'm pretty sure she is more excited about you coming over than I am.
