"Shh, I'll be right back, baby," I whispered, kissing her on the forehead.

Stepping out, I turned back to the phone. "We've been looking for him. Disappeared a few days ago. Hasn't shown up for Church and won't answer his phone."

"He's got a girl with him. Pretty little brunette. Looks like my guys came in, chaos broke out, and he killed Guardrail. Shot him right in the head. He shot my man's kneecap, and the other fool looks badly bruised, but he'll make it."

"Damn it." I ran a hand through my hair. "What else do you know?"

"She left her bag behind, her ID and everything. Prez, you're not gonna like this."

"What is it?"

"She's Colombian cartel. Daughter to that criminal you've been looking for, Enrique Solano."

"I fucking knew it!" I exclaimed, slamming my fist against one of the kitchen cabinets just as Sadie walked out, rubbing her eyes sleepily.

"What's going on?" she asked, concerned.

"Trouble," I said, my mind racing. "Snare, one of our guys, has been causing problems, and now it seems he's involved with a Colombian cartel boss's daughter. And one of Rip’s men was killed last night."

Sadie's eyes widened in shock. "What are you going to do?"

"I don't know yet," I admitted, running a hand through my hair. "But I need to talk to Snare and find out what the hell is going on."

Ripper's voice crackled through the phone, interrupting our conversation. "Guardrail was a fucking flip switch, but he had friends here. My men aren't happy, Prez. They want justice done."

"I hear you, but my word is final. If anyone lays a hand on Snare, there will be consequences," I warned, my voice hardening.

"Prez, you know I'm with you, but he was one of mine," Ripper replied.

"I understand, but until I figure out what's going on, no one is taking action," I said firmly.

There was a long pause on the other end of the line, and I knew Ripper was struggling to hold back his anger.

"Goddammit, Rip. Do you hear me?" I demanded.

"Understood, Prez," Ripper finally replied, his voice tight.

Ripper wasn't one to follow rules, but he was far from stupid. I trusted him to obey my orders, Snare was my concern and I’d be the only handling his punishment. I could honestly give a shit about their justice.

"I'll update you when I can, Rip. For now, keep your eyes peeled. I want him brought in alive," I instructed before hanging up.

Turning to Sadie, I said, "Go back to bed, baby. This is going to take some time."

She walked up to me and gently cradled my face, something she had learned to do over our years together. She sensed my anxiety, and we both knew that her touch was the only thing that could calm me down. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.

"You, good?" she whispered.

"I am now," I replied.

She smiled and gave me a soft kiss. "Good. When you're finished, I'll be waiting for you in bed."

She gave me a seductive wink before slowly making her way back down the hall to the bedroom. Her silk nightie barely covered her ass, and I bit my tongue to suppress a curse as I ignored my woman and dialed Scorn.

"Prez?" His groggy voice let me know I'd woken him.

"We have a problem," I said.

"Sure thing, Prez. What's the issue?"
