As I wandered down the hospital halls, my mind raced with the realization that I was not safe. I tried to remain calm and rational, but my heart was pounding in my chest. Suddenly, I heard footsteps behind me and turned around to see two men in black suits approaching me. My heart sank as I recognized them as members of the cartel.

Before I could even react, one of the men grabbed me roughly by the arm and dragged me into an empty room. My heart was racing as I tried to think of a way out of this situation. I knew I had to stay calm and think rationally, but my mind was clouded with fear and panic.

As I looked around the room, I noticed a window that was slightly ajar. It was my only chance. I made a quick decision and ran towards the window, pushing it open and climbing out onto the fire escape. I heard the men shouting behind me as I made my way down the metal steps, but I didn't dare look back.

Finally, I reached the ground and ran as fast as I could away from the hospital. But my escape was short-lived. As I rounded a corner, I ran straight into the arms of another member of the cartel. I tried to push past him, but he was too strong. He grabbed me by the waist and lifted me off my feet, carrying me back towards the hospital.

I struggled and screamed, but it was no use. I was no match for his strength. Finally, we reached the entrance of the hospital, and he shoved me towards a waiting car. I kicked and I screamed, until I felt the prick of a needle sinking into my neck and darkness enveloped me.

As I stared up at the camera, my mind was racing with fear and confusion. How could I have been so stupid to get caught by these people?

I tried to stay calm as the man on the other end of the speaker chuckled at my outburst. His words had hit me like a ton of bricks, and I couldn't shake the feeling of dread that was slowly creeping over me.

I looked up at the camera again and asked, "What do you want from me?"

"Something so simple, mi niña," he replied, using that same nickname my father had used to call me when he was alive.

"Stop calling me that," I snarled, feeling anger and resentment bubbling up inside of me.

He chuckled again, and I could feel the hatred in my expression as I glared up at the camera. I had never felt so powerless and vulnerable in my life.

"Ohhh, don't look at me like that," he said, still chuckling. "Your father was not a good man, Catalina. You and I both know that."

I gritted my teeth and clenched my fists, trying to keep my emotions in check. I couldn't let him get to me, not when my life was on the line.

"What the fuck do you want!" I screamed, having had enough of his taunting.

There was a long pause, and I could feel my heart pounding in my chest as I waited for his response. Finally, his words echoed around me, and I could feel the blood drain from my face.

"I promise your funeral will be elaborate and memorable," he said, his voice cold and menacing.

"My funeral," I whispered to myself, feeling a wave of terror wash over me.

"Why?" I asked, my voice trembling. "Why are you doing this to me?"

“Because you’re in the way of my fortune. You can thank your father for that.”

I started to tremble in fear as I stared at the dead corpse in front of me. “Impossible. My father didn’t leave us anything. He didn’t have anything left.”

I swore, that cynical chuckle would be impregnated in my nightmares for years to come.

“That dead carcass sitting in front of you is worth ten million dollars.”

I gasped. “No.”

“It doesn’t matter what you say or do, that money will come into your bank account, and as soon as it does we’ll go ahead and take I off your hands.”

“Why kill me?”

“Because I don’t like to leave behind remains. And besides, the least I need is some biker whore wanting revenge.”

Enraged, I screamed. “Fuck you!”

As his laughter faded I continued to scream and scream, until I’d grown hoarse and weak. My only hope was lying in a hospital bed, and I had no idea how I was going to get out of this alive.
