I was baffled as to why he did that. I also didn’t know why I got wetter from it. From where I came from and what I wanted to escape, it was so I didn’t receive this type of treatment from the men in the collapsed country. There was something different about it coming from these three men.

Legion curled his fingers under my jaw, turning my face toward him. “You know why he’s doing that, little one?”

I shook my head.

Asmodeus turned my face toward him. He grinned. “Because he’s showing your fiancé—who’s watching right now—that you belong to us. And he’s showingyou, lass, that we can dowhatever the fuckwe want to you. You’re ours, little one. And from the sopping mess between your legs, you like us treating you this way.”

“But the men from my—”

“We’re not the men from your shit world,” Mephistopheles growled.

He moved fast as lightning, the others following suit like they’d done this a million times. Mephistopheles dropped me into his arms, making me wrap my legs around his waist. He leaned in until we were nose to nose. His hand came up and cupped the back of my head, holding me in place.

“We’re not human. We’re demons. Even though we get off on pain and suffering, we still take care of what’s ours. The male species in your world don’t give a fuck about their women. We give a fuck aboutyou.”

My head spun with how fast this was going. One minute I was praying for a new life to escape the shitty men from my country, and the next, I was taken by three demons who now claimed me as theirs.

I blinked and curled my fingers into his shoulder. “I . . . I’m not sure what to say.”

I was definitely stunned into silence, needless to say.

Meph drew his head back and glanced around the kitchen, his gaze lingering on the table where some food was still out.

“Let’s leave,” he said to us.

A car had been waiting outside Derrick’s mansion. It was the nicest-looking one I’d ever seen. It looked like it came straight from my old world from the rulers. The seats were leather and clung to my sweaty skin. Thanks to my skin sticking to the cushion, I knew it would be a struggle when I had to slip out. Even though it was uncomfortable, I still gawked at everything else. The car had a Bluetooth radio that played a familiar song, but I couldn’t put my finger on its title.

Mephistopheles climbed into the driver’s seat, Asmodeus sat in the front passenger, and Legion in the backseat with me. Because of how large the man was, he took up most of the space in the backseat. I kept finding myself glancing at him with burning cheeks and butterflies in my stomach.

Legion hooked his arm over the back of the seat, nearly touching my shoulder with his hand hanging on the other side of me. His body heat emanated from him and warmed me until I became overheated.

“You know what?” Asmodeus said, breaking the silence. “Our girl needs clothes.”

Asmodeus turned in his seat so he could look at me. My cheeks burned, and I glanced away from him, only to peek at Legion, who turned his head to peer at me with interest.

“I never thought I’d say something like this, but I do love the idea of taking her shopping,” Legion said.

Mephistopheles grunted, agreeing with the two demons.

I didn’t want to object to this opportunity because my clothes from the old world didn’t come with me when they brought me to this alternate universe. Although I had to admit that some of the clothes at Derrick’s were nice, but they weren’tmeand my style.

“I wouldn’t mind that,” I mumbled.

Legion adjusted his hip, causing my eyes to drop to his lap. I gasped when he lowered his sprawled-out arm around my shoulder and dragged me against his side, making me gaze up at his face.

“You know what else we need?” he murmured, keeping his voice low and husky.

I shook my head, suddenly interested in what he had to say. “What?”

The corner of his lip tipped up into a smirk. He leaned down until our mouths were close to touching.

“Your name,” he answered softly.

I blinked.

Didn’t I give them my name?

My eyebrows drew together.
