GENEVIEVE

Miya dragged me out of the hospital once we made sure Aurora left safely. Bear found some goons lurking in the parking lot, so we decided to airlift her and Manny out of the area until tonight.

Baby Lucas has his dad’s features but his mom’s eyes and hair. It’s thick, poker straight, and jet black. He’s an adorable bundle of pink skin in a blue blanket that Satan wouldn’t let anyone touch.

“Miya, I think I have baby fever.” She drops the carton of orange juice she was holding.

“Ummm…” I watch the orange liquid start to spill off the counter onto the floor and giggle.

“She ok?” Abel asks, entering the kitchen area of the clubhouse.

“Just in shock.” I stand up and start cleaning her mess.

I frown when my feet feel the stickiness of the floor now. I should have grabbed my slippers instead of staying barefoot.

“You want a baby?” Miya finally finds her voice, and I smile.

“Maybe.” I shrug and see Abel taking way too much interest in our private conversation.

I hold up a finger telling him to keep his lips shut. He rolls his eyes and goes back to making his coffee.

“Adoption?” Miya asks, and I nod.

“Or test tube with a donor?” Her eyes go wide.

“Third option. Bipaternal pregnancies are possible. Depending on when you decide, it’s an option.” Abel leaves the kitchen after dropping that information.

“Are we really talking about this? Now? Today of all days?” Miya snakes her arms around my stomach and holds me.

“No more waiting, remember.” I turn my face to kiss her.

But I stop when I see the look in her eyes. I’m about to ask her what’s wrong when she shocks the shit out of me.

“Marry me first.” If she weren’t holding me, I would have fallen to the floor.

“What?” I whisper.

“Is that your answer?” She smiles, and my heart explodes.

“Yes.” She shakes her head.

“What was that?” The smirk she gives me is priceless.

“YES.” She kisses me finally, and I can’t believe this is happening.

“Can we talk about the babies later?” She nods.

“I’ll discuss it with my wife at a later date.” Wow, I’m going to be her wife.

“Excuse me, but we were totally eavesdropping. So if you were planning to make a grand announcement, you’re too late.” Dylan comes in with the twins in a chest carrier.

They’re both snuggled up next to each other asleep.

“Fuck, what is your husband doing?” She shrugs, making a cup of coffee.

“Knowing Abel, it could be hiring Dragon to fly a banner announcement or booking the church. Either way, by the time you walk into the common room, your wedding will be planned. Not too late to hop on Karma’s Harley and hit a drive thru chapel. I’ll cover for you.” She turns and sips the hot liquid above her daughters’ sleeping heads.

I look at Miya, but she’s calm.
