“That makes no sense.”
“The ski trip, dude. No one wanted to believe me, but here we are. You two disappeared for a while, and I knew what was up. My bro was getting laid.” Landon laughs.
I shake my head and continue walking Lennox to my room. “At least someone is.”
“Ouch, burn. I know that ain’t toward me.” Rhett snickers.
“Or me. I get laid more than all you fuckers combined,” Landon says, and that’s when I close my door. And make sure to flip the lock.
Lennox sits down on my bed and gives me her little flirty smile I’ve grown to like so much. It also gets my dick hard.
She points at me. “Naked. Now.”
I laugh. I hear my roommates laugh louder.
“Len…wait.”
“What’s wrong?” Her green eyes look up at me, full of concern.
“Do you feel weird with my roommates in earshot, or is it just me?”
“Don’t worry, we aren’t listening!” Landon yells from the living room, and I cringe.
Lennox looks behind my shoulder at my closed door as she rolls her eyes at Landon being stupid. “I guess. You don’t think they’ll listen by the door or record what they hear, right?” Her eyes grow wide.
“Shit, Len.” My dick instantly softens. “I didn’t even think ofthat.I was thinking more along the lines of hearingthem.”
“We could play some music. Or we could get the fuck out of here.”
“And go where?”
“Who cares? It’ll be an adventure.” She jumps off the bed and grabs my hand. “Let's go.”
The annoying nagging part of my brain reminds me of my full schedule tomorrow, but how can I turn down an adventure with her? She brings out a wild side of me I never knew existed, and I kind of like it. Fuck it. Fuck tomorrow, I can be tired for once. “You lead the way.”
When we walk by Rhett and Landon again, of course they laugh and snicker at us.
“Damn, Holden, that quick? I need to teach you about stamina,” Landon says.
“Psshh. If anything, Holden needs to teach you some things,” Lennox retorts, and my mouth drops open. Is she referring to the rumor about them hooking up?
“Ohhhh, shit. Len just dropped some bombs.” Rhett cackles.
I heard about their hookup back in freshman year, but I was hoping it had just been a rumor. Guess not. I should’ve known from the way Landon always jokes about it.
Lennox tugs at my arm to walk faster and when we’re out in the hallway, she slams the door closed on whatever Landon was saying. Talking mad shit I’m sure. I don’t care since I didn’t want to hear it either.
“Can he just not be an asshole for once?” Lennox says as we walk down the hall toward the stairs.
“Sometimes. But usually, no.”
“I got him good, though.” Len grins and skips down the staircase. “He should shut his mouth more.”
I laugh, hoping it’ll push away the feelings brewing inside me about knowing she hooked up with Landon, but they still sit there heavy in my stomach. I know they won’t go away until I ask her. So I just get it over with. “Then it’s true?”
“What?”
“You and Landon hooked up before?”
