I picked up my shirt off the floor, but didn’t put it back on. He kept his on, which was fine. I was just too hot to get dressed, and from the way he raked his eyes up and down my body, he enjoyed the view.

In my bedroom, we settled onto the bed together, and Isaiah turned on his side and trailed his fingers down my chest and abs. “I haven’t done this in ages.” He laughed, sounding a little self-conscious. “I was worried I might’ve lost my touch.”

“It can’t have been that long. You were on Tinder last summer, weren’t you?”

“For a while. Didn’t have much luck, though. Sex, yes. Good sex?” He rolled his eyes.

I chuckled. “Yeah. Same.”

Surprise flashed across his face. “Really?”

“Are you kidding?” I huffed a laugh. “I was fishing in the same pond you were.”

Now he looked skeptical. “Somehow I doubt we were meeting the same guys.”

“Eh, you never know.” I put my arm behind my head on the pillow. “I also just didn’t have a ton of time. It’s probably been…” I furrowed my brow. “Damn. Probably since before last regular season ended?”

Isaiah blinked. “Really?”

I nodded. “I was rehabbing my hip for the first half of the off season after I fucked it up during the playoffs.” I wrinkled my nose. “Hip injuries aren’t much of an aphrodisiac.”

“Areanyinjuries?”

“Well, no. But hip injuries are pretty high on the list of ‘don’t fucking touch me.’”

“Okay, that I can believe.”

“Right? And then I was back to training, so there went my free time, and…” I waved a hand. “I just never got around to getting back on any of the apps.”

“Eh, you’re not missing much.”

“No kidding.” I rewound what we’d both said, and my heart sped up. Should I? Or was that too much too soon? Oh, hell, why not go for broke? “You know, since it’s been a while for both of us…” I bit my bottom lip, not sure if I should push the issue.

Isaiah studied me, silently encouraging me to go on.

I took a deep breath. “If it’s a no, that’s cool. No pressure.” Running my hand up his forearm, I quietly said, “But I’m not sleeping with anyone else right now. And it’s been a while since I have. If it’s just the two of us, we could…” Fuck, why couldn’t I say the words out loud like a goddamned adult?

His eyebrow flicked up. “We could skip using condoms.”

Heat rushed into my face, but I nodded. “We could.” I swallowed. “We don’t have to! Seriously. It’s—”

“Hey. Hey.” He touched my cheek and smiled. “Relax. Even if I wasn’t on board, I’m not going to get pissed at you just for suggesting it.”

“Okay. Okay good.” I thought about what he’d said. “Wait, does that mean youareon board?”

Isaiah smiled and shrugged. “Why not?” Sobering a little, he added, “Though… I’d rather we each got blood tests first.”

“Yeah. Sure. That’s fine. I can do that.”

His smile came back to life. “Me too.”

I swallowed. “So does this… Um… Does this mean you want to be exclusive?”

Isaiah seemed to consider that. “I, uh… Well, I’m not interested in anyone else. Or we could just go back to using condoms if we decide not to be exclusive?”

I was already shaking my head. “I like the exclusive option.”

His eyebrows flicked up. “Really?”
