"You like a bit of football? The Brutham Bears aren't bad."

"I like anything where blood is spilled," Zachary said. "As long as it's not mine." He glanced over at me again.

I chuckled. "Man after my own heart. I much prefer other people's blood be spilled than mine."

"Me too," Parker remarked. His eyes were on the game, but he was listening to us.

"So… You grew up with Chloe and Lila Bell." I might as well cut to the chase. We all knew this wasn't a social call.

"Yeah, and you're dating Lila. Both of you." Zachary smiled as the big forward tackled another player. When the man rose, he had blood pouring out of his nose and down his face.

Zachary looked as though the sight made him want to pull out his cock and get himself off.

I couldn't judge. I was turned on by worse things.

"I wouldn't say we're dating her," I said lightly. "We're both fucking her. So have you."

The thought of it made me want to tackle him to the ground and punch the crap out of him. Even though that happened before we met Lila, the idea of him touching her…

Parker snorted. "Who hasn't? She's not exactly a blushing virgin."

Zachary relaxed slightly. He was a long way from trusting us, but he was almost sure we hadn't come to kill him. Not today.

"She was before I got to her," he said with a shrug. "After I fucked Chloe, Lila practically begged me to fuck her. She couldn't stand her sister having something she didn't. Of course, I was happy to oblige. If there's something she's good at, it's spreading her legs."

I laughed as naturally as I could. For talking about her like that, I wanted to slowly slice his dick off.

Instead, I said, "She really is. Her and Chloe must have fucked half the school by now. On the other hand, so have Parker and I. Out here in the sticks, there's nothing much else to do when we're not studying. We might as well stick our cocks into anything that stays still long enough. Right, Park?"

"Yep." Parker grinned.

"So, I was thinking," I said after we watched a couple more minutes of the game. No more blood was spilled, but one of the guys left the field with a head injury that would probably result in a nasty concussion. No one ever said rugby was a pleasant game. It was a brutal blood sport that spoke to the primal part of me. One I preferred to watch than play.

Cricket and tennis were more my speed. Less chance of getting myself badly injured.

"Don't hurt yourself," Zachary teased lightly.

Parker and I both laughed, him a little louder than me.

I clapped Zachary on the back. I would have preferred to knife him there. For Lila's sake, I'd keep playing this stupid game. It would be Zachary who won the stupid prizes.

"Seriously though. Park and I both appreciate the way you went after Chloe and Lila. Teddy bears?" I mimed a chef's kiss. "Genius. I'm definitely stealing that idea and putting it in my playbook. But I want to know why."

Zachary stiffened. "Why what?" He was very much on alert now.

"Why go after them in a way that they didn't end up dead? Was it your intention to kill them or are you sending a message?" I looked hopeful.

He chose his words carefully. "If I wanted to kill them, they'd be dead."

I doubted that, but I played along. "So, you were trying to tell them something? Or were you trying to…encourage them to step aside? I mean, you're older than them and you're a guy. It seems to me you're the easy pick to take Samuel Bell's place some day. They needed a reminder of that. Right?"

I could see the wheels of thought turning in his brain. He wanted to agree with everything I said, but could he trust me? If I was him, I'd tell me to fuck off. But then again, I knew me better than he did.

Finally, he let out a frustrated sigh. "He should have chosen me instead of pitting the girls against each other. Neither of them have the balls to take Sam's place."

"Exactly," I agreed. Lila had bigger proverbial balls than he would ever have. Although, he was smart enough and ruthless enough to have been an asset if he hadn't gone after them. Whatever, that was his funeral.

"They don't have balls at all, which is half the problem." I uncrossed my legs and crossed them the other way. "Sooner or later, they'll get pregnant and get all weak and weepy. You know what women are like. That's why men rule the world."
