Catching a small movement out of the corner of his eye, Bryce halted. He let out a slow breath. Vivian stood a few feet inside the door. She didn’t meet his eyes, rather her gaze was fixed firmly on something lower on his body. Sensing it had a favorable audience, his cock twitched. If it had arms, it would have waved.

Bryce was caught in two minds. Continue dressing and be a presentable gentleman or throw caution to the wind and make a naked grab for her.

“I’m here about a rumor,” she said, her eyes not moving from his erection.

“Oh no. What rumor? Don’t tell me another drama has sprung up in the past couple of hours. I don’t think I can keep up.”

When Vivian let out a dirty chuckle, the remaining blood in Bryce’s body all rushed to the one place. For a second he feared he might faint. She moved closer, her gaze finally shifting north of his hardened member. “The one doing the rounds is about a billionaire resort boss. Apparently, he’s been flying all over the country in his company’s private jet chasing after some resort reviewer he has fallen in love with.”

Oh. That rumor. He hadn’t heard that one. He was living it. “What a schmuck. The poor guy must be madly in love with her to do such a foolish and romantic thing. Perhaps you could come a little bit closer, and we could discuss the rumor in more detail.”

“Are you in love, Bryce? Because if you are… well, that would make two of us who Cupid had shot with his little arrow.”

“Yes, I am in love with you. Utterly head over heels,” he replied, his voice gruff with emotion.

He took her hands in his, and they stood gazing into one another’s eyes.

“I love you, Bryce. I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t think you were the man for me.”

His whole world lit up at her words.

Vivian’s gaze dropped from Bryce’s face down to his naked torso. When she licked her lips, Bryce swallowed deep. In his current state, she had him at a clear disadvantage.

The muted sound of other guests talking outside stirred Bryce from his ponderings of conducting all future conversations with Vivian in a state of complete undress. He picked up a pair of pale blue silk boxer briefs and taking his cock in hand, somehow managed to put them on. A soft but clear mewl of disappointment escaped Vivian’s lips.

If you are a good girl, I might let you take them off.

“Did you read that rumor about us onLeisure Line?”

A slyly grinning Vivian shook her head. “No, your father called my boss. I am led to believe they had quite an interesting conversation. Lionel called me after I submitted my review. What’s this about an emergency plane landing in Jackson, Mississippi? You have some explaining to do, my love.”My love.It was amazing to hear her say those words.

CHAPTERFIFTY-FIVE

“From all reports Edward Royal is a little concerned, he might not see his eldest son or his seventy million dollar private jet ever again.”

She grinned at Bryce, taking in the pleasurable view of him trying to dress. The bulge in his silk boxers had her licking her lips. When he slipped his arms into his linen shirt, he teasingly paused for a moment. The glint in his eye inviting her to take her time and make a thorough inspection of the goods she was about to sample.

She did. From the slight bump of his Adam’s apple, her eager eye traced its gaze down and across the fine dark hair which covered his chest. He playfully toyed with one of the shirt buttons, but let his hands drop away when she gave a slight shake of her head. Her thorough study of Bryce then reached the top of his treasure trail, and she gently sighed.

“What was I saying? Oh, yes, your father is worried about his plane.”

A dirty laugh reached her ears. It had her sex clenching with aching need. She could just imagine lying naked on his bed, legs spread open while Bryce blew hot kisses on her clit as he told her a wicked, filthy joke.

Bryce moved closer. “Is that why you came back here? To check on my billionaire papa’s jet, or was it to tell me that since you have finished your homework, you are ready to come and play? Only good girls get to play.”

I think I might spontaneously combust.

She swallowed deep and nodded. Words were starting to fail her already sex-scrambled brain. When Bryce brushed a fingertip down her right cheek, Vivian closed her eyes.

“I suppose it’s a bit of both.”

“My father is rather attached to the jet but that wasn’t the biggest of his concerns. When I told him I was coming to find you, he said I had better not return to NYC on my own. There might have been something said about sweeping you up in my arms and convincing you of my love.”

Love. That was a big word in her world. The last man who had said those words to Vivian had then gone on to cheat on her and ruin her credit rating.

He lowered his lips to hers, brushing the merest trace of a kiss on her skin. “It hasn’t been all plain sailing since you abandoned me in Texas. The emergency landing in Mississippi isn’t something I ever wish to repeat.”

Vivian returned the kiss. “Really? How about you tell me, then I will decide what pity I shall give.”
