The phone stopped ringing. Nash kissed the side of Adam’s neck. His cell began to ring again.

He sighed but encouraged Adam to join Lucas on the couch. Nash crawled around, looking for his pants from under the coffee table. He pulled out the stupid phone before swiping it on.

“Hello?” He waited for Green to talk.

“Wanna have some fun?” Green cackled in his ear.

“No! I was having fun.” He was not pouting. He wasn’t! Nash just didn’t want to leave Adam and Lucas.

“Well, the L.T. said we can’t make a move on the garage without you,” Green informed him.

“I’m aware.” Lieutenant Cirillo had been extremely specific about what they were allowed to do and not to do in his absence. “You were waiting on the judge to sign the warrant.”

“Got it! Uniforms are meeting us on scene.”

He didn’t have a choice. It seemed like Nash could mess things up even without trying. “I’m on my way.” He disconnected the call before he started to pull on his jeans. Nash avoided looking at either Lucas or Adam. They would be pissed. His partners always hated when he got called away, especially right after sex. Some even accused him of setting it up so he could leave. Nothing could be further from the truth. Nash loved what came after sex as much as he did the act. He enjoyed being held and snuggled.

“Hey,” Lucas said quietly.

Nash shook his head. “I have to go. Work. Sorry.”

There was movement over his shoulder, but Nash ignored it. He didn’t want to see disappointment or worse, anger.

He jumped when his shoulder was grabbed hard. Nash tried to turn but Lucas hauled him back hard against his chest.

With a sigh, Nash allowed his head to drop. “I have to go. I—”

“We know,” Lucas said. “And we’re not upset.”

“Yeah, right,” he muttered.

Nash was spun quickly around and had to reach out and grab Lucas’s arm to hold himself steady. Lucas caught his chin, forcing Nash to meet his gaze.

“Adam and I are both aware of your job and how important it is. We are not mad. And we’ll see you tomorrow.”

“Okay.” What else could he do but agree?

Lucas grunted then his lips were on Nash’s, hard and demanding. Nash was powerless to resist and leaned into Lucas’s strong body as his mouth was plundered. When he had to pull away to breathe, he could barely gulp a breath before Adam was there to cover his mouth. Adam’s kiss was softer but no less amazing.

By the time they’d both gotten their kisses, Nash was hard again.

“We need to let him get to work.” Lucas pulled Adam back.

Fuck his life! How was he supposed to leave with Adam all cute and cuddly in Lucas’s arms? This was so unfair!

“I can see that pout,” Lucas said. “You need to be careful tonight. Go do your job and be safe.”

“I will,” he promised. With most of the drug dealers either running scared after the death of the cartel leader they’d been following or in jail, it was mostly just small-time criminals they dealt with. The garage was the final connection to closing the cartel case for good.

Chapter Four

Adam

The morning rush over, Adam leaned against the counter as Mickey cleaned the espresso machine that was Caden’s usual station. Adam peered across the street, just barely able to see inside Lucas’s tattoo shop.

It was still early morning, and the tattoo shop wouldn’t open for a couple more hours, but Adam knew that Lucas was inside working on some drawings. Lucas had stopped by for his morning coffee and Adam might have gotten a few sneaky kisses in without Mickey realizing it. Adam wasn’t like Caden and Sam, who could just throw their arms around their Daddies and get loving.

First, Lucas wasn’t his Daddy. Second, if Lucas became his Daddy, where did that leave the relationship with Adam and Nash? And lastly, could Adam greet both his men for kisses? Rocky Lake was pretty inclusive, but Adam didn’t know of another throuple in town. He would ask Nash, since Nash had more experience with poly relationships, but for the first time since Caden’s attack months ago, Nash hadn’t made it in the shop that morning.
