Adam stiffened. He hated that when anyone touched him, his first instinct was to pull away, before they felt his fat. His best friends were different because Sam and Caden loved his hugs but normally guys who were interested in him only wanted to fuck then flee. They never stuck around for cuddling, which was Adam’s favorite part of intimacy. Nash didn’t stop rubbing his belly though.

“Here, baby.” Lucas handed Adam a container of soup and a spoon. “And stop feeling him up, Nash, and let Adam eat.”

“I wasn’t feeling him up!” Nash argued aghast. “I was just making him feel better. My mama always rubbed my stomach when I was sick.”

“Eat!” Lucas handed Nash his own container of soup.

“So bossy,” Nash grumbled. But he accepted the spoon and started to scoop up his soup. “God, it smells so good!”

Another reason Adam liked hanging out with Lucas and Nash was because they ate as much as he did. Neither Sam nor Caden made Adam feel bad about his appetite, but they also ate much smaller portions. Adam was a growing boy and he needed to fuel his body. As big as Lucas was, he actually ate more than Adam. Usually, Nash ate about the same as he but Adam was convinced he needed all the food because of his high energy—he probably burned it off so fast.

It didn’t matter in the end and Adam was happy to see that there were more containers on the table with the extra bread he’d requested. It had been a long time since Adam had gone to sleep hungry but that was a fear that had never faded. Even though he made his own money and bought his own groceries, the trauma of being hungry all the time wasn’t something that Adam had gotten over. He just didn’t talk about it with anyone else.

“So fucking good!” Nash moaned around his spoon.

“Language,” Lucas responded absently. “I haven’t had this potato soup before, but I agree. We’ll have to get it again.”

Adam grinned as he lifted his spoon. He liked hearing Lucas making plans for more nights like this. Now if only Adam’s dick stopped responding to the obscene sounds Nash was making as he slurped up his soup. Adam really wanted Nash to slurp him up the same way. Oh no, he did not need to think about that. Hopefully his blankie would hide his growing erection from the other two men.

Chapter Two

Lucas

These movies were terrible, and Lucas could feel his brain practically melting as each movie got stupider and stupider. Both his boys loved them though, so Lucas would suffer through the movies for them.

He’d cleaned up already, making sure to store the extra soup and bread for Adam to have later, so he couldn’t think of anything else he could do to get him out of watching the dang screen.

“Oh! I like this part!” Nash grabbed Lucas’s knee in his excitement.

Warmth flowed through him. When he’d returned to the living room from putting the food away, Adam had moved to rest his head on Nash’s shoulder as they both cuddled under the blanket. Lucas was not sure how Nash had wangled that position from Adam, but Lucas was sure puppy eyes were involved. Lucas had joined them on the couch, sitting close enough to Nash that their thighs were pressed up against each other. Reaching down, Lucas covered Nash’s hand with his own and squeezed.

Adam snorted. “I think you’re a bigger nerd than I am.”

“Shh! Watch!” Nash never sat still and even now there were moments when he would twitch or rock.

Leaning forward, Adam peered over at Lucas.

Lucas winked. The two were so different from each other but somehow, they both called to him. He’d never in his life expected to find himself interested in two men at the same time and willing to explore a poly relationship. Adam had yet to commit to them, but every day that they showed patience, Adam seemed more willing to take the chance.

Nash had been completely upfront about his needs. He had been the only one looking for a poly relationship although he didn’t seem confident that it would work out. Nash might be full of energy and nearly always happy, but it was obvious to Lucas that he’d been hurt in the past.

Life could throw curveballs and Lucas was currently trying to figure out how to proceed. He wanted both Adam and Nash. It pained him when he couldn’t see either man during the day or when they separated at night. Lucas was an all-in kind of guy. He’d been attracted to Adam the first afternoon he’d wandered over to the coffee shop after spotting the boys watching him. At first, he’d looked at Nash as competition, but it hadn’t taken Lucas long to realize that Nash needed a keeper the same way that Adam needed a Daddy. Both boy's needs were different, but Lucas had enough love inside him that he could care for and love both men.

“Are you totally bored?” Adam whispered. He glanced up at Nash, who was still enthralled in the monster movie.

Lucas leaned forward until he and Adam were mere inches apart in front of Nash’s chest. “No, but I do find myself watching you and Nash more than the movie. I do love the way you both enjoy the movies more than I like watching them.”

Adam blushed. Lucas expected that reaction. Adam’s reaction to any kind of attention was always embarrassment. Nash loved making Adam stammer and blush, but Lucas wanted to just pull Adam onto his lap anytime that happened.

Nash groaned, causing Lucas to look up at him. Nash peered down at them with wide eyes and licked his lips.

“See something you like, boy?” Lucas teased.

Nash nodded. “I like seeing the two of you so close.” He cleared his throat. “Sorry, I didn’t mean…”

It was Adam that broke the tension as he ran a hand up Nash’s chest. “Didn’t mean what..?”

“I…I didn’t…I don’t…I’m going to say something stupid!” Nash finally exclaimed in frustration.
