By late afternoon, my phone started buzzing incessantly in my pocket. Fishing it out, I found two missed calls from Brexley and five texts on the group thread—because apparently, in addition to living within blocks of each other, the Rhodes needed to be in constant communication. Rhyett had, naturally, seen fit to stick me on the Mistyvale chat and programmed his entire family into my phone before our plane even touched down in Anchorage.
