It's not a question, but Atlas nods.

Maybe it's time I learn Greek. I give Atlas a sugary sweet smile that makes him flinch.

"It's a good thing we aren't a thing," I say conversationally. "I don't want to be part of a world again where I don't have a voice because I have ovaries."

Even if those ovaries go gaga over Atlas. His eyes narrow, tension emanating from his big body.

"That's our cue to leave. It was good to meet you under less stressful circumstances, Lucia. When you can't get ahold of Atlas, call one of us. We'll be watching out for you." Despite the evidence of last night, Theo is clearly the charmer of this crew.

"I don't have your numbers."

"I put them in your phone," Atlas says without the slightest qualm.

Putting my hand out, I say, "Give me your phone."

He doesn't hesitate, opening it before he hands it to me.

Shock at his easy capitulation surging through me, I grab the phone and open his contacts. It only takes a minute to add Willow, Barry and my head server to them.

"What are you doing?" Bobby asks when Atlas doesn't.

"Putting the staff manager, bar manager and head of security for Nuovi Inizi in Atlas's contacts." I smack Atlas's phone back into his hand. "Tit-for-tat."

"Are you going to go through my computer too?" he asks, understanding immediately what I mean.

"Yes. When I'm done, I will have invaded your life as thoroughly as you have invaded mine." It's not an empty threat and I hope he knows it.

"Good."

He doesn't mean that. He can't. But the challenging expression in his blue eyes defies me not to believe him.

"I am not going to shut up and have babies," I warn him. "And I'm not going to marry you because I'm pregnant."

One marriage for duty's sake is enough in any lifetime. I might have loved Tino by the time we married, but I realized after losing the baby that he never loved me.

He married me to continue the Revello line. Out of both duty and necessity. Agustino Sr.'s uncle had lost his position as capo because he and his wife hadn't been able to have children.

That's how Agustino became a capo and took over running the clubs. Tino made it clear he wasn't going to let that happen to him.

If I get married again, it will be because the man I'm marrying loves me.

We aren't in the Cosa Nostra and I'm not a good little mafia princess anymore. Even if the father of my baby is the nephew of the freaking Godfather of the Night for the Greek mafia on the west coast.

"Good to meet you, Lucia." Bobby is backing up fast, Theo and Michael moving right along with him. "See you later, boss."

They leave via the hallway to the backdoor.

Atlas's focus is 100% on me though. "Make no mistake, eromenis mou, you will marry me. If I have to kidnap you, fly you to Vegas, roofie you and get married with the fucking video package as proof of the deed. You're my woman and the child inside you is my child."

That absolutely should not turn me on and make my heart pitter-pat. Should not. So, why does it?

"Not if it means going back to being a mafia princess who is seen and not heard," I snap right back.

"The Cosa Nostra in Detroit might be stupid enough not to value your smarts. But I appreciate your brain as much as I incessantly crave your body."

"Your mafia might be Greek, but you can't tell me they're so different from the Italians, not with your crew slipping into Greek to protect thelittle womanfrom knowing too much."

"Protection is right. The less you know, the less of a target you are."
