His expression is skeptical.

"I don't let people close enough to see over my shoulder and I always, always block it with my body."

"Except with me." He sounds confused by that, but his expression? It's 100% male satisfaction.

I step back, away from his touch. "We should leave."

Chapter 6

ATLAS

At least she is sayingweshould leave now, not trying to get rid of me.

Telling me to get out in Italian. Should I tell her that I'm fluent in the language? TheÁdis Adelfótitahas a close relationship to the Camorra in California and men of rank in theÁdis Adelfótitaare required to learn a language of either our allies, or our enemies.

I learned two. Italian and Russian.

Being able to understand my little sun when she is angry, not to mention passionate, will give me an edge. I decide not to reveal that edge yet.

She is so irritated I pointed out her deficiency in security that her generous tits are heaving. She frowns when she notices me looking at the mouthwatering cleavage on display.

I shrug. What does she expect? My cock might feel like it's been chiseled out of granite when I'm around my beauty, but I'm not made of stone.

"You were going to show me around," I remind her.

She rolls her eyes at me. "You already took your own tour."

"No. That was me confirming no one else was here." Lucia coming here alone when someone could break in so easily gives me an unfamiliar sick feeling in my gut.

Ilios mouneeds to be more cautious.

I will kill anyone who hurts her, but that won't undo the harm already done.

She frowns and shakes her head. "And I thought I was paranoid."

I shrug. It's not paranoia, but knowledge. The world is a dangerous place. My family contributes to that danger, so I should know.

But I will keep any risk away from my woman.

"You seriously want me to show you the house?" she asks, her voice dripping with disbelief.

"Being able to see it how you do is why I came with you." I don't care about the house, only what it means to her. "Tell me what it will be like when you live here."

She sucks in a breath. "How can you have me so angry one minute and say the most perfect thing the next?"

I don't answer because I don't know. I don't know why me wanting her to stay safe made her mad or why telling her the truth about why I'm here made her happy.

Giving me a tentative smile, she waves her hand around her. "This is the living area. It's not huge, but the way the living and dining room flow together in the L shape makes it feel bigger. I'm going to put a sofa facing the fireplace. I don't have a lot of other furniture for in here, but it will come."

She takes my hand and walks me through the rest of the house, telling me her plans for now and for later when she can buy more furniture and make more updates.

Her whole house would fit in my suite in our family mansion, but I like how happy this space makes her.

She shines like the sun I call her. Her parents named her Lucia. Light. I call herílios mou. My sun. For a Greek man it is the same. I could call herastéri mou. My star. Both fit her. She is beauty and brightness. But she is notastar. She ismysun.

Warmth, illumination and beauty for my world.

Her voice goes dreamy talking about her plans, turning me on.
