"How?"

But Atlas shakes his head. "If I talk about this anymore, I'll go soft and then I won't be able to hold my cum inside you."

"I know you say you're trying to knock me up, but somehow we always end up going for Round Two when you do this."

His smile devastates my heart. "Added benefit."

My giggle gets cut off as he starts to move again. My last rational thought before pleasure takes my brain offline is that being betrayed by his family would definitely have killed part of his soul.

Chapter 14

ATLAS

The bar is not in the seediest part of Portland, but the businesses around it wouldn't generate as much protection money as Lucia's club all together.

"This is where you wanted to bring me?" Lucia asks as I help her out of the X7.

"My brother asked me to check it out."

"Unless you're willing to invest a lot in not only the building, but the neighborhood, anything but a pop-up club here doesn't have much of a chance."

"What about a strip club?"

Her hand tightens in mine. "You're opening a strip club?"

"We're planning a couple, yeah."

"I thought you'd do a night club."

"That's in the plan too."

"Wow, that's a lot of businesses to run. How many brothers do you have?"

"Two brothers and two cousins."

"Older or younger?"

"Does it matter for running a club? We're all well over the age to serve alcohol."

"I wasn't thinking about your suitability to run the clubs. I'm doing that thing people who date do, getting to know you."

"Are we dating?"

"You keep saying you're going to keep me, so I'm going with yes." She looks around us as we step inside the bar. "Though this is not my idea of great date night material, in case you are wondering."

It's a typical neighborhood bar. Low lighting. A little run down, but clean. A single waitress works the floor serving drinks and a bartender serves behind a bar that covers nearly the length of the back wall.

Round tables are scattered throughout the space. No booths. The hallway to the bathroom is the only brightly lit area. The bright lights send a clear message.

No dealing and no sex inside the club. In case the patrons don't get the hint from the brightly lit corridor, there is an obvious camera pointed toward the bathroom. That is unexpected.

The two tables with men speaking Russian is not, but I don't recognize any of them. I step in front of Lucia anyway, blocking her view of the bratva soldiers and their sightline to her.

I'm not supposed to engage, just check the place out and try to figure out which bratva is trying to find a foothold in the Portland metro. Having Lucia with me gives me better cover than coming alone and sticking to the shadows.

It's a solid move. So, why am I second guessing making it?

Leading her to a table as far away from the Russians as I can get, I pull out Lucia's chair for her.
