It should feel claustrophobic. I used to hate when Tino smothered my body with his in sleep. But I like this. Too much. Atlas's hold makes me feel safe. Warm. Secure.

My bladder isn't going to let me revel in the pleasant feelings though. If I don't get out of bed soon, it won't be my arousal or Atlas's cum leaving a wet spot soaking through the sheet to the mattress.

I pinch his forearm. Hard. "Atlas." My voice is loud in the dark and silent room. "Let me up."

"No."

"I have to pee."

Grunting, he sits up, pulling me with him and proceeds to guide me out of bed and to the bathroom without turning on any lights.

Plopping down on the toilet just in time, pee gushes out, splashing into the water below my butt.

"Sounds like Multnomah Falls down there," Atlas says in a sleepy grumble.

"You could have let me come to the bathroom alone."

"I like being with you."

"In the bathroom?" I roll my eyes in the dark. "How pleasant for you."

"All the time I spend with you is pleasure." He yawns. Loudly.

I can't believe how good his words make me feel, but I snark, "Obsessed much?"

The subtle shifting of his body and the air around us lets me know he's shrugging.

"Seriously, Atlas, your brothers are going to get sick of you being with me so much."

"They'll get over it." His tone implies he doesn't care if they don't.

I'm sure that's not true though. He, Zeus and Orion are really close. That was made abundantly clear to me from the moment I met the oldest brother and all through dinner.

It's only a guess, because they weren't there, but I suspect they are as close with their cousins. After all, the five men moved up from California together for a joint business venture.

"You're lucky." My voice reveals my grief at the estrangement from mine, and I wince.

For five years, I have done my best not to think about my family, but being around Atlas with his brothers makes my heart ache missing my own.

His big hand lands unerringly against my neck and curves around it possessively. "Why are you sad?"

I wipe and stand, lowering the lid before flushing. "You and your brothers remind me of what I lost."

"Now you have two brothers to annoy you, not one." He reaches out and suddenly a dim light above the sink goes on. "And two cousins who will be up in your business, whether you want them to, or not."

"Don't say things like that," I say sharply as I wash my hands with jerky movements. "They're not my family."

"They will be. Once we marry."

"We're not engaged." No matter how right things feel with Atlas, I'm not jumping blindly into the deep end of this thing between us.

That's a good way to drown.

Chapter 23

ATLAS

Lucia is quiet when we wake up. I fuck the thoughtful right out of her in the shower, but she's back to staring off into space by the time she gets dressed in her clothes from the night before.
