Liv nods in passionate agreement, her hand leaving Rae’s hair to fumble around my wrist.

“Yeah,” she finally whispers weakly. “Yeah, Rae. Okay? You’re still ours. We love you so, so much.”

That gets a look of watery hope out of the sweet girl. She turns it between us as she sniffles. “Really?”

“Yes,” we say together.

She sits there for a long second, sniffling, sniffling.

And then she laughs.

It’s an easy, joyful, heartbeat-strengthening sound.

Wow.

“Okay,” she says.

Liv laughs, too, and then keeps crying, her hand tightening around my wrist.

Shit, wow.I have to join in on the laughter as I wipe at my eyes with my shoulders.

Lovethese girls.

Once my vision is clear of tears, I can see Liv and Rae plainly—I can see their radiance through their crying, their optimism through the heartache they’ve both known.

They are perfect.

And as they pull me into a hug party so I can be radiant and optimistic right along with them, I tell them they’re my life.

Liv’s eyes find mine above Rae’s head and spear me with a look of blazing love. It matches what lives in my blood because of her; I know she can tell, because the smile in her eyes outdoes the one across her lips.

“You’re ours,” she says to me. “You’reourlife.”

God, yes, I know it all the way to my core.

I really have found my happiness, my purpose, my home.

And it really is incredible that I went entire years not realizing it was all just down the hall from me.

I owe some serious, seriousthanks to those damn Jolly Ranchers.

“Okay, girlfriend,” I sigh into a smile, holding out my arms slightly. “How do I look?”

Rae turns away from the mirror she’s been looking at her dress in. When she sees me, her eyes go wide and she gasps, squeals, jumps up and down.

“Oh my gosh! Annie, you look like a real, real princess!”

She hurries over to me and touches the skirt of my wedding dress.

“Oh my gosh,” she says again, breathlessly.

I laugh happily and pat my hands down her arms. “You look like a princess, too!”

She grins up at me excitedly. “Landon is going to think we looksopretty!”

I believe she’s right.
