“You mean that you went into that waterfall painting you have on your wall?” Love asks in surprise

“Yes, and it was just like it too except real, but I was so scared that I couldn’t get back.” At that hope takes my hand and Love hugs me again.

“I wonder If you would be able to take all of us there if ever needed or if only you can go” Reality says with a pensive look on her face.

“I can try, but first I need to eat as I am starving.” I say, “apparently I haven’t eaten in two days.” with that I turn to go back down the stairs only to encounter Brog rushing upstairs when he sees me, he stops.

“Girl, where the hell have you been?” when Brog calls any of us girl we know that we in trouble.

“she was stuck in her painting, how awesome is that?” Vain says as she comes to stand next to me, she continues to explain to Brog what I just told them. He looks from her to me a suspicious look on his face.

“Why did you stay there for two days?” he asks

Shrugging “It felt like only hours while I was there, I swear I didn’t know I could do that, or I would be more prepared.”

“Why, what happened?” he asks with a frown

“It’s just that I didn’t know how to come back once I was there, if it wasn’t for the Leprechaun I might have taken longer.”

“There was a Leprechaun?” Reality asks

“Yes, and he told me something else.” I say looking back at Brog, “what did the men find when they went looking for the sound that Drez and I heard?” at that Brog scratches at his stubble and shrugs.

“They weren’t able to get close to whatever is making that sound, and when they got back we couldn’t find you so we haven’t been back every since then because all the men have been out looking for you.” He shakes his head suddenly, “In the painting,” he mutters as he turns, “next time must remember to look in the artwork.” He glances over his shoulder at me and inclines his head for me to follow. “Why are you asking about the sound?” when I draw next to him he places his arm around my shoulders and squeezes gently.

“Don’t ever give us a fright like that again.” He states a smile pulling at his lips

“I’ll try not too” I murmur as we start making our way downstairs, “when I was speaking to the Leprechaun, he said that the shadows start with the sound.”

“I told you guys” Hope says as they follow Brog and I

“Dream,” Selina calls as she rushes towards us, “I thought it was your voice I heard” she pulls me towards her holding me close, “Oh child you had us so worried” she murmurs against my hair and I can hear the deep emotions as her voice cracks.

“I’m okay, sorry to worry you” Love starts relating what happened while Brog leads me to the kitchen.

“Oh, my poor angel, you must have been so scared” Selina says as she makes her way in her calm and collected way towards a pot that is sitting on the stove. “Take a seat I will feed you; your mother would never forgive me if we lost you.”

“Did the Leprechaun say anything else?” Brog asks as he takes a seat at the table next to me.

“he said that we need to find the source to end this war, that the sound is just a venue for the shadows.” Selina places a plate of food before me as the others start commenting around the table about what I have just disclosed.

“Maybe if we can find out where the sound is coming from, we can figure out what the source is” Vain says

“Or who the source is” Reality states

“The problem still remains that the sound is so piercing that we can’t get close to it.” Brog comments with a frown.

“Is there nothing we can place over our ears that will stop us from hearing the sound?” Hope asks

“Drez and I were covering our ears to try and get close to it and I promise you it is so excruciating that you feel your whole body vibrating with the sound, just covering your ears won’t work. You would need to be deaf not to hear it.” I state thinking back to when Drez and I heard it.

“Imagine the poor Fae that live in the vicinity of that sound, no mellow soothing bird songs for them now.” Vain says which has me dropping my fork as I remember something that the Leprechaun said, which has everyone turning to me at the sound.

“What you said just made me remember something the Leprechaun mentioned, he spoke about repelling sound and before that he spoke about how the light combated the shadows, so what is to say that soothing calm music won’t combat repelling sounds” at my comment everyone sits for a few seconds just looking at me, I can tell that they are contemplating my theory.

“It is worth a try, and it makes sense” Selina says as she too takes a seat at the table.

“But how would we know what calm music to play?” Vain asks with a frown
