I knew he would blow his top, one thing that is drilled into us from an early age is to never show humans our powers. Fuck, if I had my wits about me, I would never have been so stupid. “We going to go there now, I want to see for myself what these assholes actually know.” I know not to push Tor when his rage is up, the best thing for me to do is to keep quiet and let him run out of steam.

“Every fucking time one of you guys finds his mate there is always trouble that follows, can’t one of you just find one without issues?” he rants as he punches a fist into his open palm. He suddenly stops pacing and looks directly at me, “What the fuck are you waiting for, are you going like that?” at his question I shake my head and turn to go and fetch my boots, t-shirt and Elementals kutte.

Walking into my room I find Druza sitting in the middle of the bed with her knees up to her chest, one of my t-shirts covering her body. She looks at me when I step inside, her eyes are troubled, but her chin rises as I approach, evidence that she’s still in a confrontational mood. I don’t say anything as I walk towards my chest of drawers and pull out a t-shirt.

I will explain everything to her when I get back, for now I will let her stew, or she will want to come with us. After pulling on my shirt I sit on the edge of the bed as I pull on my boots. Fuck, I can hear her heart from where I’m sitting, smell her scent mixed with my cum from earlier. My cock is instantly hard, all I want to do is take hold of her ankles and pull her towards me, opening her legs wide so I can see her perfect pussy and dip down to taste her nectar.

Taking a deep breath, I ignore the lust running rampage through my body as I stand to take my kutte and slide it on. I should say something to her, but the thought that she wanted to go back to the gypsy camp, back to that fucker that was supposed to take her to wife has my anger surfacing again. Growling in frustration I leave without another a word. I swear, if that son of a bitch starts whining again I will kill him this time.

I step outside to see Eirik, Colborn and Tor already sitting on their Harley’s waiting for me. As soon as I start my motorcycle, we are off with Eirik leading the way. We don’t stop on the way there instead making it there in an hour and a half. Instead of pulling up to where we parked last time, we make our way around to where the entrance to the camp is. At first, I think that Eirik must have taken a wrong turn as the area is empty, there is no sign of the gypsies ever being here.

Eirik pulls off his helmet looking back at me he raises a brow which has me shaking my head in reply. Where the fuck would they have disappeared to in such a short amount of time. There must have been at least twenty to twenty-five caravans and motorhomes in this area. I park my Harley, dismounting I walk around to see if there is any evidence of what could have made them leave in such a hurry.

It is clear by the vegetation and some trash laying around that this place was occupied not so long ago. I hear Eirik explaining to Tor that this is where we encountered them, by his tone it is clear that he is just as surprised as I am. Why would they pack everything up and leave without even trying to clarify the situation with Druza. I shake my head; this does not make sense.

“Haldor, phone your woman and ask her if they were supposed to have packed up and left or if this is as much as surprise to her as it is to you.” Tor orders as he also parks his Harley and starts to scout the area to find any evidence of foul play.

Pulling out my phone I dial Dag’s number, when he answers I ask him to get Druza on the phone. I was angry when I left, I didn’t say anything therefore she might not want to talk to me. I wait as I hear him making his way towards our room and knocking on the door. I am starting to run out of patience when I finally hear Druza’s.

“Haldor for you.” Dag says.

“Hello?” her voice is hesitant but I can hear an underlying note of anger, but just hearing her voice calms me.

“We came to the camp but there is no one here, they have all packed up and left. Had they planned on leaving so soon?” there is silence for a minute before she replies.

“Are you sure you are in the right place?” that answers my question, but I reply

“Yes, I will send you a photo for you to see” I confirm, “were they supposed to leave so early?”

“No, why would they leave?” she asks in surprise, “we have been there for about five years now.” Her reply has me frowning, after such a long time it can’t be that easy to just pack everything up and leave the way they did.

“Why would they leave like they did?” I ask

“I don’t know, it doesn’t make sense.” She murmurs

“I’ll talk to you later,” I say turning to approach Tor but Druza calling my name stops me from disconnecting the call.

“Please keep me updated,” she pleads.

I disconnect the call not replying as Tor walks up to me, a brow raised in question as I lower the phone. “She says that they have been camped here for about five years now, there was no plan to leave, and she doesn’t know why they would pack up and leave so soon.” Tor grunts in annoyance

“Your woman advised us that they will attack, that they are vengeful, and they play dirty.” Tor states, “if that is true, then this doesn’t make sense.” He turns around slowly viewing the whole area again.

“No, it doesn’t, I would at least have thought that they would have tried to get her back,” I agree. Kneeling down I place my hands flat on the ground sensing the vibration of the earth around me, the ground is not still, there is an uneasy vibration to it.

“They left a few hours ago as the ground is still calming from the agitation around it,” I confirm as I stand to face the others, “they must have left a couple of hours after us.”

“They must be hiding something,” Eirik says what we are all thinking.

“I think we need to go back to the club and ask your woman some questions.” Tor states as he sits on his motorcycle. I take a photo of the area, sending it to Dag’s phone knowing that Druza will be waiting for it. Once that has been sent we start our Harleys and turn around making our way back to the club, I ponder on the different reasons why they would pack up and leave without even trying to get Druza back, or is this a ploy on their part?

The last thing I want is to upset Druza, but we need to know what could possibly have happened so that we are ready in case of any attack. One thing is for sure, I don’t need to worry about Druza wanting to go back to her family as they have packed up and left her behind without even a fight.

Something is bugging me, I don’t know what it is but something about this whole situation is telling me that a storm is brewing.

DRUZA 7

Since yesterday my day has been a seesaw, one minute I’m surrounded by everyone I know and the next I’m surrounded by no one I know. The strange thing about all of this is that I feel more at home here than I have ever felt with my family. I pull my fingers through my long hair pulling it back into a ponytail.
