“Just give me a minute to pull my skirt on.” Pulling away from Haldor I pick my skirt up from the end of the bed and slide it up. Sliding my feet into my sandals I turn to see Haldor scowling. “What?” I ask wondering what I did wrong now.

“I will ask the girls to help you with clothes,” he says, “I should have organized that already.” His tone is irritated but I get the impression that he isn’t irritated at me but at himself for forgetting. Taking my hand again he guides me out of the room and down the corridor until we reach another door at the end of the corridor, turning the handle we enter to find what looks like a meeting room of sorts.

The room is occupied by various men that are currently sitting around a beautiful engraved wooden table. Walking in I feel self-conscious as everyone’s eyes are on me, if it wasn’t for Haldor’s hand on mine I would turn and run the opposite way. Looking at the men I have difficulty in identifying which one is more dangerous than the other, that is until my eyes are captured by Tor.

No need to wonder any longer, his hooded angry eyes and firm square jaw with a mean scowl have him as the winner. He might be a handsome devil, but his looks don’t detract from the fact that the man exudes power. “Druza take a seat.” He says pointing towards a chair to his left that is currently empty. My legs are shaking as I make my way towards the chair, Haldor stands right behind me, his hand on my shoulder.

Did something happen? Did my family do something that I am still not aware of? My heart is thundering in my ears, the thought that they will not want me here has my fear rising. I wanted to go back to camp but now the thought of leaving Haldor has everything within me wanting to scream a denial.

“You know that everyone was gone when we got to the camp where Haldor found you?” I nod at Tor’s question, afraid to say anything as they would realize how frightened I am when my voice won’t work.

“Where do you think they went?” I told Haldor I didn’t know; doesn’t Tor believe me? Slanting my head back so I can look up at Haldor, he squeezes my shoulder gently in comfort letting me know that he is right here for me.

“Do…” my mouth feels so dry that I can hardly get the words out. “Don’t know,” I rasp.

Tor turns his head to someone and inclines his head in some silent message, I don’t dare look as I hear someone getting up and Tor turns his eyes back to mine. “Was there any specific place that they had as a backup plan in case they ever had to leave camp?” I shake my head in denial as I never heard them talk about moving, everyone was content where we were.

“Why do you think they left if they haven’t been planning it, and from what you said to Haldor they have been there for at least five years?” I am about to answer when one of the men places a glass of water before me, looking over I nod in gratitude.

Lifting the glass to my lips, I take a few galps of water to try and lubricate my throat and mouth that seem as dry as sandpaper right now. Finally putting the glass down, I raise my eyes back to Tor that is impatiently tapping his fingers on the table. “Mmm, I don’t know” I know that they might think that I am hiding something with all my I don’t know answers, but I really don’t.

“There is no reason for them to leave so quickly,” I confirm, to be honest I am feeling slightly hurt that they didn’t even stick around to try and speak to me again.

“Isn’t that strange?” Tor asks as he leans forward to place his elbows on the table, his shoulders are wide and muscular nearly the width of the table, a clear reminder that this man is strong and I can tell it’s not just physically but mentally too. The intelligence behind his fixed gaze is clear to see.

“Yes, but I don’t know why they did it.” Tor grunts at my reply but seems to accept it as he changes his questioning.

“My men tell me that the Doctor came to see you?” At the mention of the Doctor I shudder thinking of his evil energy.

“Yes, he came to ask me a question.” I reply, my hands twisting in my lap.

“Has he been to see you before?” I turn my head to look at the man sitting to Tor’s right, I remember him to be Eirik, he was one of the men with Haldor when he found me.

“Yes, a few times. I tried to stop him from coming but he paid more, and my father allowed it.” Haldor’s fingers tighten on my shoulder. Looking up I see a scowl on his face, I know he doesn’t like the Doctor therefore the fact that I was helping him must be upsetting to him. “I didn’t want to see him, but if I am asked a question I must answer.”

“So why haven’t you seen where they have gone to?” another man further down the table asks.

“It doesn’t work like that; I have never been able to see what I want to and only what other people want to know.” The man nods at my answer, “that sucks, having a gift to see the future and not being able to see your own.”

“So, if I ask you where they are will you be able to see?” Tor asks with a frown. I was expecting this, and in a way I’m glad they asked because I would also like to know why they have moved so quickly. Closing my eyes, I concentrate on the question; it doesn’t take long before I see the caravans and motorhomes traveling. I see papa’s face as he drives and I know that he is furious, is this because of me? I wonder.

Opening my eyes, I look at Tor, “they haven’t camped anywhere yet, they are still traveling.” My reply has him grunt.

“What did the doctor usually come and see you for?” the one called Colborn asks.

“He used me to find women that he was looking for, I didn’t always give him the full information because I could feel he was evil, but he knew what questions to ask to get the information he needed.” Son of a bitch, Ulrich mutters as he folds his arms across his chest.

“Haldor said that he was also looking for a woman this time, but that you saw Haldor stopping him from getting her?” Tor interrogates.

“Well, I think it was Haldor.” I state glancing up to Haldor before I continue. “There was some type of force that pulls him off the porch, and away just as he was about to catch the woman.” My reply has the men commenting.

“Did you see Haldor?” Garth asks with a raised brow.

“Well…” I think back to my vision, “not him specifically,”

“Well then it could be any of us,” one of them states which has me raising my brows in surprise.

“You can all do what Haldor does?” I ask the question and then berate myself as I think about all these men that are Elementals like Haldor, of course they will have powers like him.
