“Fuck” he grunts shaking his head in understanding.

I don’t know how long we crouch around Tor waiting for him to calm down enough for us to be able to let go of him, but eventually I notice his body relaxing slightly. I know that he will not come down from his rage completely until he sees this woman that is his mate and makes sure that she is fine, but we will only let him go once we are sure that he isn’t a threat to anyone around him.

“Let go” he grunts in a hoarse voice. Eirik looks towards me and nods, as the second oldest brother in the club and our Sargent at Arms I will defer to his orders when Tor is down. Slowly letting go of his arm I stand and step back. Next Ulrich lets go of his back and left leg, finally Garth and Eirik are also letting go and standing.

Tor finally flexes his arms, grunting as he pushes himself off the floor. His head rises, his expression still furious but there is a degree of restraint now. “Where is she?” the others look confused thinking he is talking about the woman that the Doctor is after, or in this case Tor’s mate, but I know that he is asking about Druza. I don’t care if he has calmed down, there is no way in hell that I am bringing her anywhere near him again today.

“She’s not coming back here,” I state which gains me a growl, but then he looks around at all of us. “We’re leaving now, get your Harley’s.” I knew that it wouldn’t take long for him to want to leave to go and check on his woman, but I still wish it would have given me more time with Druza before I have to leave again.

Even the prospect of killing the Doctor doesn’t excite me as much as it did which tells me that the bloodlust that I hugged so close to my heart for such a long time has diminished. I’m not saying that I don’t want the motherfucker dead, but it’s no longer the center of my universe.

Turning I start heading out, I should go and tell Druza I’m leaving but knowing the situation Tor won’t wait and I don’t blame him because if the roles were reversed, I would have been heading towards that farm already.

I know the men are surprised to find out that Tor has a mate, after all he has never mentioned the fact to any of them as far as I know that he had already found his woman. Now that everyone will know I wonder if somehow, he will give up on this demon that is keeping him away from bonding with his mate and will let him take her fully as his other half.

I should have linked the dots when Druza said the woman was blind, but it never crossed my mind that it could be Tor’s mate, not until she said it again in the meeting room. The fact that Druza saw us saving the woman has me calmer than if I thought that we might lose Tor’s mate. I wonder if any of her visions have ever been wrong?

The thought has me swearing, fuck, I hope not. The way there seems longer then the last time Tor brought me, which is strange as we are breaking all the speed limits to get to the house. Tor stops his bike near a clearing, he hardly has it stopped before he is jumping off and hurrying towards the house. It is late, if the poor woman is sleeping, she will get the fright of her life if we all come charging into the house.

I rush after Tor which isn’t an easy feat. “If you burst into the house and she’s asleep you going to frighten her.” I call out trying to get him to think instead of acting. I don’t know if he is even listening, but I follow him and the others until we are standing outside the farmhouse.

“Wait here,” he grunts as he makes his way towards one of the windows and looks in. I can tell that he has seen her and that she is fine when I see his tense muscles finally relaxing.

“Why is she all the way out here instead of being with us?” Ulrich asks quietly, but no one answers which tells me that no one knew about his mate except me and if they did they are keeping it to themselves. Eirik motions for us to go and walk the parameter and make sure that it’s safe. Dag and Garth head south, Ulrich and Colburn head north, Eirik and I head west which has the other two heading east. We will let Tor make sure that the house is safe, leave him some space to finally calm himself before we join him again.

I know that he had men that walked the grounds, but I’m not sure where they are because I don’t see anyone around, and I don’t sense anyone close either. “So, what do you know about this?” Eirik finally asks when we are far enough for Tor not to hear.

“I don’t know much; you should ask him.” I say trying to get away from breaking Tor’s trust.

“We can all tell she’s his mate, the question is why hasn’t he bonded with her yet?” I shrug at Eirik’s question. I have wondered about that too, now that I am mated, I know how difficult it can be to stay away from your woman. I know the insane pull that I felt when I first saw her, the unexplainable pull towards her. I don’t know how Tor can fight it for so long, how he can stay away from her when the pull is all consuming.

“He will be frantic now that he knows the Doctor is going to come after her, we need to know exactly when he is coming, or we might be sitting here for months before the son of a bitch decides to make an appearance.” Eirik states as he raises his hand to rub the back of his neck.

“This is one hell of a fucked-up situation,” I mutter shaking my head in irritation as I think about that asshole prying on innocent woman and especially this one which is blind. “Do you think he stays away because she’s blind?”

Eirik frowns at my question, we continue to walk the perimeter for a few minutes in silence before Eirik answers. “Maybe a false sense of protecting her, but I don’t think that would be his reason. The thing is that with Tor you never know.” That is true, Tor is unpredictable, you never know what reaction he is going to have.

We make sure our side is secure before making our way back towards the farmhouse. Approaching we see Tor a couple of steps away from the window which he was looking into earlier. His mate is standing inside the house on the other side of the window, a hand flat on the windowsill, her head slightly slanted to the side as if she is listening to something. I look over at Tor to see a look of pain on his face, a look of torment. I can just imagine the constant fight within him every time he sees her, the fight he has not to touch her, not making her his very own for eternity. My thoughts go back to Druza, I wander how she is, how the other women have explained everything to her. They have all gone through the same in one way or another, what Druza is going through now, and they have all settled and are happy.

I want to build a life with Druza, want to make her the happiest woman alive. I shake my head at my thoughts, if any of the others had to guess at my thoughts, I would never hear the end of it. We come to a stop a few steps away from Tor and wait for him to finally turn and acknowledge us. It is a few minutes later before he is finally turning to look at us, his muscles still tense with rage, his eyes snapping as he looks around at all of us.

He inclines his head for us to follow him which is understandable as he doesn’t want the woman to hear us and get frightened. When we are a safe distance away, he places his fists low on his hips as he gazes at all of us.

“I’m sure you fuckers all have questions.” Tor states in annoyance as he raises his hand to rub his chin.

“Fuck Tor, why didn’t you say something?” Eirik ask as he shakes his head, “we a family brother, we would always make sure that your woman is safe.”

“I don’t want her to know about us,” he explains.

“We not going to ask you why you haven’t bonded with her, but fuck me, you must be going crazy.” Garth says.

“It is what it is,” Tor grumbles, “for now I need you all to take turns in keeping an eye out for the Doctor.” He scowls as he turns to look back at the farmhouse, “we will alternate, five here, five at the club.” We all nod in agreement, no matter what we will always have each other’s back.

“Haldor,” he calls, “I want you to go and ask your woman everything she knows about the day the Doctor is coming here.” He throws his arms in the air, “like is it daylight or is it dark, how does he approach, is it by foot or vehicle…” he shakes his head in irritation, “you know the types of things to ask her.”

He turns to look at Dag, “you go with Haldor, something is not sitting right with Druza’s family just up and leaving, I want you to check on the system any campervans or caravans that have been traveling in a group and where they might be. Also check the members of the group if there is any reason why they would flee.”

“You want me to contact Celmund?” Dag asks with a raised brow. Celmund is a member of the Elementals Natura Valley Chapter, they are the Elementals MC founding members and the oldest Elementals among all the brothers. Celmund is a real computer hacker, anything anyone needs he is able to find in the web.
