“Well, you will be able to ask her as apparently Ceric and Nova will be joining us at the club tomorrow as she has been banned from Natura valley for a couple of weeks.”
“Life is going to get interesting,” Dag states with a grin, “I think I’m going to go on holiday for the next couple of weeks,” he teases, “leave you guys to deal with your mates and all the mischief they will get up to with Nova around.”
I am about to quip when I feel a shift through the ground. “There are humans close by,” I warn turning in the direction that I feel the shift.
“They are fine, they are the day-to-day guards that I have employed.” Tor reveals as he walks past me towards the two men that have just appeared through the trees.
“How long has he known about his mate?” Asger asks from where he has come to stand next to me.
“I have no idea, but it looks like he has known for a while,” I reply.
“Well, I don’t know about you guys but I’m going to walk the grounds and make sure that we are not surprised at any time.” Tal calls as he starts to make his way southeast.
“I’ll come with you,” Dane says.
“Shall we head in the opposite direction?” I ask Asger inclining my head.
Asger nods, “you can give me all the details of what has been happening while I have been away.”
“Not much,” I reply as we start heading away from the others.
“Come on, I get back and two of you assholes are mated.”
I shake my head in response as I answer, “nope, one of us is mated because as far as I know Tor hasn’t bonded yet.” Shrugging I continue, “I couldn’t believe it when I saw Druza, everything just hit me and seemed to be out of tilt.”
“I’m glad you found her brother; I was worried about you.” Asger confesses as he places his hand on my shoulder. Asger is a loner, he prefers his own company which in turn doesn’t help anyone else know what is going on with him. We have always joked with him that he’s a cool cucumber, but I know that emotions run deep within him.
“I just hope this asshole makes an appearance soon as I’m not looking forward to hanging around with you while I can be home wrapped around my woman” I mutter which has Asger grin in amusement as he shakes his head.
“How the mighty have fallen,” he teases, “as soon as you find a mate you guys go soft.”
I grin raising my brows, “I wouldn’t say that’s what we go, if anything I believe I have gone harder.” Asger chuckles, we carry on with our banter joining the others a couple of hours later. I see Tor leaning against one of the trees, his head is turned away from us and towards where the house is. Tor has always been a bomb waiting to explode, his emotions run just under his skin, but I have come to realize through the years that in a way it is all a front, because when something is deeply affecting him, he bottles it in.
I lean my head back against the tree that I am sitting against and close my eyes, my thoughts immediately center on Druza. I wonder if she had a good day with the other girls, if she is feeling more at home. Tal told me earlier that his mate mentioned that Druza is not comfortable using our money. I have been remis in my duties as a mate, I have no excuse that it was a surprise finding Druza so suddenly, because most of the Elementals that are mated go through the same, and they managed to do what was needed to protect and take care of their mates.
For fuck sake, I didn’t even think of feeding her when she first arrived. I clench my jaw as I feel my stomach knot in anger. Druza is a beautiful soul, I could see that when I first laid eyes on her and she was talking to the goddess. I remember thinking to myself that she is as beautiful as any Goddess could ever be. Her beautiful, silky hair floating around her like a majestic veil beckoning for my touch. I smile when I think of her anger, how she stood up to my anger with a subtle anger of her own. After I have got rid of this fucking piece of scum that thinks he can play God with the women he targets I will give my full and undivided attention to Druza, the most precious gift that mother nature could ever have given me.
When I heard that she had gone with the others into Town I wanted to go after her and bring her back to the club, I wanted to lock her away where I knew where she was and that she was safe. Luckily my common sense kicked in and I held myself back.
I want Druza to feel at home, I want her to start to accept us as her family. If I had gone to drag her back to the club, she would never have accepted us, and instead have seen the club as a prison. I wonder if she’s in bed currently, if she’s thinking about me kissing her, loving her. I shift, trying to ease the pressure in my balls, my cock twitching in anticipation. I open my eyes trying to dispel the thought of my woman’s bountiful breasts naked pleading to be caressed.
Tor is still standing against the tree looking towards the farmhouse, Dane and Tal are sitting on a log talking, but the others are now also resting. Asger is laying on the ground on his back, his arms crossed behind his neck. Dag is also sitting against a tree, his head is resting back against the trunk, his eyes closed.
I should take this opportunity to go and tell Tor about the reporter and the video that is out there, but I know that his mind is all over the place trying to keep himself in check when his mate is being threatened. If I am being honest with myself, I am being a coward as I know that Tor will lose his shit when he knows what is happening, but for my own peace of mind I will convince myself that it’s for his own good at the moment not to pile more problems on him.
I feel like a fucking ass by putting all of us in this situation, but I’m sure that we will be able to contain the story. Slipping my phone out of my pocket I look at the time to see that it’s now four in the morning, too early to try and contact Druza. I need to get her a phone, I can’t be asking others when I need to talk to my own woman, and seeing as I have time now I might as well do it now. I will also get her other bits and pieces that she will need.
I want to give her the world, if she feels awkward in accepting my money then I will have to get her what I think she needs for now and gift it to her. After finding her a phone and a laptop online, I arrange for it to be delivered, I then start looking for other necessary items such as jackets, socks, toiletries and more.
A few hours later I am still scrolling, looking for items when the first rays of light start to break through the sky. It would have been easier if she had purchased her own things, but understanding her hesitation, I have chosen for her, but I will convince her that I want her to buy whatever she needs when she needs it. I will make sure to convince her to start using my card. I want my woman to feel empowered in sharing everything of mine.
Maybe I should also get her…my thought process suddenly stops as I incline my head to listen to the faint sound in the distance. I glance around to see the others are all sleeping except for Tor that is still in his earlier position. “Guys” I call knowing that the sound that is coming closer is the Doctor approaching in a chopper.
I walk towards Tor as he takes a step forward, his body tense as he looks up into the sky. “It’s him,” I murmur as I come to stand next to him. I hear the quiet rustle of movement behind us knowing that the others are now up and ready for what’s to come.
“About fucking time,” Tor grunts as he turns to look at everyone. “Take position in case there is more coming.” I start to turn but Tor growls in annoyance. “You’re coming with me; I promised you the Doctor but you fucking better stop him.”
I know that him keeping to his word is killing him, especially after the woman the doctor is now threatening is his mate, I want to be noble and let him take lead in ending this cretin’s life, but the thought of my dead sisters empty eyes won’t allow for me to not wrought my vengeance on him. She deserves to be avenged.
