Hmm, maybe not so smooth after all?

"Why do you guys need snacks?" Lincoln asks.

Ronan has managed to squeeze his way into the frame now and is grinning proudly. He's like a puppy. I can't help but think that I wouldn't be that proud if I fought so hard to be on screen only to be granted access moments later.

Like a puppy and its owner.

Leia's tone is oddly casual as she divulges, "We might have partaken in recreational drug use."

I would have held onto that information until my last breath.

Lincoln and Ronan's eyes widen in disbelief, creating a comical sight with their matching expressions.

Ronan gasps, "What kind?"

Leia leans closer to the phone and whispers, "Weed."

The guys burst into smiles and laughter. Really, what else did they think we'd be doing? Leia loves control, and I'm scared of my own shadow. We'd make terrible drug users.

I need to get those snacks soon, or I'm going to be one sad camper.

In a disgustingly sweet voice, Ronan asks, "Can we come over and hang out?" He even sticks out his bottom lip for emphasis. Total puppy.

"No," Leia declares, determined.

But Lincoln, seemingly ignoring my grumpy best friend, chimes in with, "We'll bring snacks."

Now we're talking. A sexy man bringing me snacks; how could I say no?

I grab the phone, excitement radiating from my face. I pull it way too close to my comfort zone. "Yes, yes, yes! Come over now, please!"

"We'll be there in twenty," Lincoln responds.

Leia chimes in, "Show up without snacks, and I will eviscerate you both."

I force a laugh, but it's tinged with nervousness. "She's joking," I assure them.

"No, I'm not joking," Leia grumbles, her interest in the conversation waning.

Lincoln reassures us. "We won't forget." I really hope he remembers, because Leia won't be lenient. "Bye."

I haphazardly toss my phone onto my bed before scrambling to get under my blanket. Leia cackles when my legs get caught in my sheets, and I call for her assistance.

Leia slides off my bed, and with her no longer occupying my space, I can comfortably stretch out under my covers.

Satisfied with my snug situation, I peek over the edge of my bed and see Leia sprawled out on the floor between our beds.

"We're really good at negotiating," I suggest. "We should buy a car or a house. We'd get an excellent price; I swear, we're so good at it."

I lean over the edge of my bed and smile down at her. "You threatened," I remind her. "No negotiating in sight."

"My way is the most effective," Leia asserts, holding her fists up like she's ready to fight. "You have to be willing to play dirty."

"Absolutely, babe," I chirp.

Leia loses it, bursting into laughter.
