EPILOGUE

FIVE MONTHS LATER

Sutton

Lincoln wraps his arms around my waist, drawing me close. "Sweetheart, I think that's everything," he says.

Yes, it certainly is everything. Lincoln's room, which once had a boyish charm, is now filled with my colorful belongings. His bookshelf, once a surprising sight, is now completely full with the addition of my books.

I was sad to no longer be living with Leia, but after everything that happened last year, living alone is exactly what she needed. Leia recently moved into a studio apartment a few blocks from campus, and I moved into Lincoln's house. In his room. With Lincoln. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine this would be my life, living with my boyfriend.

Everything just feels right, but that never lasts for long.

"Hey," Ronan's voice calls from the doorway.

I smile as I see Ronan and Leia, deeply grateful for their help in moving my things. I'm also thankful that Ronan, Marshall, and Liam supported my decision to move in.

"Thank you for helping me today. You guys are the best ever!"

"Maybe you should hold on to those praises for a minute," Ronan jokes.

"Why?" Lincoln asks, a frown forming on his strong face.

"We have some news to share."

"We?" Lincoln and I ask in unison.

Leia steps closer to Ronan, taking a deep breath before murmuring, "Ronan's my boyfriend, and I'm his girlfriend."

Why is she talking like that?

"I think I fucking heard that wrong. Say it again," Lincoln demands.

"We're together," Leia repeats.

I observe the two of them standing close, with Ronan's hand on Leia's waist and her leaning into him.

What in the world is going on? I glance up at Lincoln, and our expressions mirror each other. What the heck?

It's been a while since the whole Elliott situation, and I've been encouraging Leia to move on, but not like this. I don't want her to play with Ronan's emotions because if someone is going to get hurt, it's going to be him.

"When? And why didn't you tell me?" I ask, struggling to keep the hurt out of my voice.

Leia breaks away from Ronan and rushes over to me, pulling me into a tight hug. "You've been busy with Lincoln and moving. I didn't want to stress you out. You've been really happy, and I didn't want to do anything to ruin that."

"Why would you dating Ronan ruin that?" I'm utterly bewildered.

She steps back and gazes at me, tears shimmering in her eyes. "I don't know. I guess I was being dumb."

I rush to console her. "It's okay. I just want you to be happy."

"I am," she reassures me as she pulls away and returns to Ronan's side.

"Will you tell me how it happened?" I ask, my eyes pleading.

"Uh... later. We're going to let you and Linc settle in," she says with a suggestive wink.

"Yeah, get the fuck outta here," Lincoln chimes in, his tone half-joking and half-serious.
