He flips his blonde hair and I swear I see the girl melt on the spot.

A couple of minutes later he returns to the car.

“Alright, so we’re having a party on Saturday night,” Luca announces.

“Wait what? No, we’re not,” Greg questions, confused by these new plans.

“Well, that’s what I told Jenny. Or Jenna?” Luca shrugs. “And now we’re having a party in six days. Plenty of time to plan.”

I’d be mad but with the season starting, we don’t have our first game until two days after that. It’s actually the perfect night to have a party.

Now, the question is who do we invite?

Chapter 4

Nick

“Time for our morning run! Wake your ass up!” I shout while jumping on Greg’s bed.

He groans as I spoon him over the covers.

“Aw, I’m going to miss these love handles.” I tease and give his side a good squeeze.

Greg kicks me off of him.

“Get the fuck off me! Five minutes and I’ll be ready.” He grumbles while I fall to the floor.

Laughing, I jump up and down around our room to get myself pumped for our run.

It’s a three-mile run to get to the gym, but worth it.

“You know we’re going to have to run or walk back.” Greg points out. “This is probably the worst idea you’ve ever had.”

“Shouldn’t have eaten that last slice of pizza last night.” I tease him with a tap on his gut as we head in and get ready for weight training.

The gym is empty. It’s not that early but it’s Monday morning and the first week of classes. Since we practice or train almost every morning, our classes don’t start until late morning or sometime in the afternoon.

“So, are you inviting Cora to the party?” Greg asks while spotting me.

“Well yeah, I’m sure the entire girls’ hockey team will go,” I grunt after lifting the weight.

I’m not sure anything will happen with Cora again. Yeah, it was good and I wouldn’t mind another go, but I’m not looking for anything serious.

I don’t know where she stands, but I’m sure we’re on the same page.

“Hmm, maybe we can invite the yoga class to go.” Greg looks over, checking out the class walking out of the aerobics room. “I think we need to invite more girls.”

That’s a lie.

So far Luca and Greg sent invites to the Women’s Hockey team, Figure Skating team, and Ice Dance team. There are already mostly girls, unless they bring guys, which is a possibility.

I almost point that out to Greg until I see Lenny walking out of the room. She heads straight for the gym’s smoothie bar, carrying her yoga mat on her back.

She’s not in her usual Drexton Gym shirt and black leggings.

Today she’s just a gym member in a dark blue tank over multicolored leggings with sheer cut outs. I never thought workout clothes were sexy, but Lenny makes them look that way.

“Great idea Greg.” I leave him to set up his weights and beeline right over to Lenny.
